After the battle in Metropolis with Infinite begin victorious, taking Eclipse with him somewhere else, Liam felt ashamed of himself as he let his daughter slip through his fingers. Sonic and his friends noticed Liam's behavior and asked what was wrong, with no choice and the fact that he may need their help told them he only joined the resistance to find Eclipse and explained the situation about what happened in the city as well as his relationship with her. Sonic and his friends felt his pain and decided to help Liam on his quest to find Eclipse while taking down Eggman and Infinite. In the meantime, Eclipse was taken to Eggman's fortress to Infinite's room, being thrown to the bed and chained to the wall with new ankle and wrist cuffs.

Infinite's POV
I don't know what came over me, but the way Eclipse looked at the incompetent fool, it made me feel angry no matter what even if he was her father I wanted to get rid of him as soon as possible, I want Eclipse all to myself. 'What has she done to me to make me think this way?' I thought As I went to Eggman's fortress dragging Eclipse while she struggled against my hold I made sure the doctor doesn't see me and head to my room closing the door behind me and threw Eclipse on to my bed and quickly put on new cuffs around her ankles and wrists keeping her from leaving but enough chain for her to walk around. When Eclipse sat up after being pushed she wouldn't look at me even when I moved her head in her direction of sight, so she would look at me. I assumed she grew annoyed because she finally looked at me with a cold stare.
"Why did you do that?" Eclipse asked
"He threatened me, I had to prove him wrong" I lied
"Liar! Then why did you ask who he was to me"
"I don't know" I lied again avoiding her gaze
"Tell me!" Eclipse persisted
"I already have I will not repeat myself" Eclipse got up from the bed moving closer to me continuing her persistence for an answer
