“What to wear? What to wear?” I muttered to myself while looking through my full walk in closet.
My eyes landed on the perfect outfit; a flowing red and white striped shirt, white shorts, and red toms. I got dressed and started straightening my hair. I applied my eyeliner and mascara, and grabbed my phone.
“School, here I come.” I sighed.
“It’s 6:45!” Jordyn called through my door.
“Coming!” I yelled back and walked out of my door.
Everyone was in the kitchen when I got downstairs.
“Good morning!” I snatched a piece of bacon from Alex’s plate.
There was a chorus of groggy “good mornings”.
“Aw, are you boys tired?” I teased.
“How are you not? You kept us up all night!” Logan yawned.
“Ha, not me! And you took my bacon!” Alex laughed while Dylan nodded.
“I warned you guys. Bet’cha won’t make me watch another scary movie now will you?”
Blake shook his head. “We’re taking two trucks today.”
“Okay, lets go. Don’t want to be late for school!” Logan said, sarcasm obvious in his voice.
I ended up in Blake’s truck with him, Logan, and Jordyn. Blake turned up the radio and I laughed. I started singing along.
“State the obvious, I didn’t get my perfect fantasy
I realize you love yourself more than you could ever love me
So go and tell your friends that I’m obsessive and crazy
That’s fine I’ll tell mine you’re gay!
By the way…
I hate that stupid old pick up truck
You never let me drive
You’re a redneck heartbreak
Who’s really bad at lying
So watch me strike a match
On all my wasted time
As far as I’m concerned
You’re just another picture to burn.
There’s no time for tears,
I’m just sitting here planning my revenge
There’s nothing stopping me
From going out with all of your best friends
And if you come around saying sorry to me
My Daddy’s gonna show you how sorry you’ll be
I hate that stupid old pick up truck
You never let me drive
You’re a redneck heartbreak
Who’s really bad at lying
So watch me strike a match on all my wasted time
As far as I’m concerned
You’re just another picture to burn.
And if you’re missing me,
You’d better keep it to yourself
‘Cause coming back around here
Would be bad for health…
‘Cause I hate that stupid old pick up truck
