Follow The Arrows

Leighton’s POV:

I was laying on my bed staring blankly at my ceiling when Christina’s voice filled my room.

“Leighton, you have mail down here.” She yelled through the intercom.

Mail? Who would send me mail? Does anyone even send letters anymore? I made my way downstairs curiously. Sitting on the counter was a simple white envelope with my name on it. It was just my name. There wasn’t a return address or anything on it.

          Dear Leighton,

Follow the arrows…

          Aaron :)

That’s it? Five words? I glanced around the kitchen and saw a white poster board with a big black arrow on it. It pointed into the living room so I followed it. What is he planning? Am I going to get attacked when I get to the end or something? In the living room, there was another arrow pointing down one of the hallways towards the basement. Now, I’m sure that this won’t end well. I’ll probably get pelted with food, or squirted with water guns. The arrow in the basement pointed towards the laundry room. What the hell? Why would I go in there? But I went anyway. There was another arrow in there pointing out of the laundry room door.

Just kidding. Go back to the living room and follow the PURPLE arrows. :D

Was written above the arrow. I walked back to the living room. The black arrow had been taken down and a purple one was pointed outside. That’s it. I’m going to get killed or something. I opened the door and braced myself to get hit with something. I squeezed my eyes shut and waited. Nothing? What? I opened my eyes and looked around. Another purple arrow was stapled to a tree. It was pointing to the garden. The garden was beautiful. All kinds of flowers, small trees, and plants were planted around a bench. You couldn’t see the bench through all the plants, though. I walked on the little walkway that led to the bench.

I giggled a little when I made it to the bench. One of those huge stuffed bears was sitting on the bench. He was holding a poster board. I walked closer to see what was written on it.

          Dear Leighton,

Every moment I spend with you, I find something I love about you, your eyes, your smile, your personality, your laugh, to name a few. You are a beautiful and amazing person who brightens up my day every time I think of you. When you are around my heart beats faster and I miss you every second you are gone. From the day you moved in here, I knew I’d fall for you. Seeing you in pain lately only makes my want to make you mine more. I want to protect you. I want to be your shoulder to cry on. I want to be here for you through everything. So, Leighton, will you be my girlfriend?

          Love always, Aaron

P.S. Turn around.

I did as the note said and turned around. Aaron was standing there with a hopeful grin on his face. He was wearing faded jeans and a black three quarter sleeved button up shirt and a pair of black vans. He looked amazing.

He took a few steps towards me until we were about a foot apart. I smiled widely back at him.

          “Yes.” I told him simply.

I didn’t even think it was possible for him to smile any wider, but he did.

He took another step towards me and cupped my face. My stomach did back flips as he leaned forward until our noses touched. He moved the last inch forward and gently pressed his lips against mine.

If you had told me a few months ago that I’d be standing in the middle of a gorgeous garden, kissing a gorgeous guy, I would have laughed and told you how unrealistic that was. Because a few months ago, I didn’t believe that it was possible to feel this way about someone.

I had read in stories about the unbelievable butterflies you feel, the tingles that shoot through your body, and the warm feeling in your heart, but I had never believed it was possible to feel that way. But it is possible. Extremely possible.

A/N Soooo? I LOVE this chapter so much. I hope you all do too.  Does anyone love Aaron as much as I do?  Not completely sure when I’ll upload next. More than likely next week or maybe this weekend(Sunday)… So, now I have to go but I hope everyone liked this chapter.
