Leaving This Behind

The Party

       Well... this chapter was difficult but fun to write...   

       I stepped off of the pavement and onto the sand. This place is kind of secluded like the place the boys and Jordyn took me to.

          Despite Alex’s protests, he and Dylan stayed at home. Dylan was perfectly fine with it. He is completely different from all the other boys; he’s quiet and keeps to himself. The rest of the boys are loud and mischievous.

          “OMIGAWD! LOGAN!” A high-pitched voice rang through the air. A blonde girl in a skimpy dress ran up to us. She latched herself onto Logan while he rolled his eyes. She pulled him off somewhere. I turned around.

          “Like, OMIGAWD!” I pushed my boobs together and stuck my butt out, mocking the girl. Everyone laughed.

          “Leighton, I’m going to go find Brandon.” Jordyn said referring to her boyfriend. “I’ll be back in a little bit.” She added before she walked off.

          “You want to go get a drink?” Blake turned to face me.

I just nodded. There was a big fire sitting in the middle of logs that were serving as benches. Music was blasting from somewhere, probably a car, and people were dancing and laughing. It looked like a typical summer party out of a movie.

          Aaron, Blake, and I walked over to the table that had all the drinks on it. Blake reached into a cooler and pulled out a beer and a coke. I grabbed the beer out of his hand and grinned.

          “Thanks!”

          “You drink?” He looked at me, obviously surprised.

I opened the can and took a drink. “Yep.” I said, popping the ‘p’. Aaron laughed and shook his head.

Aaron’s Pov:

          I watched as Kyle, Callon, Ethan, and Jaden walked up to us. After we got our drinks we went and sat on one of the logs. Leighton really surprised me when she grabbed that beer.

          Ethan sat down beside Leighton, and I knew I’d have to beat him off with a stick. He and Logan were the players of the group. Kyle was the quiet one, Callon was the sweet one, and Jaden was the “bad boy”.

          “Dance with me, Jaden!” Leighton grabbed his hand and pulled him up.

Oh, hell no.

Leighton’s POV

          I’m on my fourth beer. No, wait. Fifth? I don’t know! A familiar beat came on.

(SONG ON THE SIDE!!!!)

          “Dance with me, Jaden!” I jumped up, already swaying my hips back and forth. He didn’t hesitate to stand up and follow me to the makeshift dance floor. I put my arms around his neck and he put his hands on my hips. I pulled him closer. I’m pretty sure you could put a magazine between us and it would stay there. I swayed my hips to the beat. Turning around, I started grinding on him. I put one arm around his neck and the other in the air.

          When the song ended, I turned around.

          “Well, that was fun.” I winked at him. No, I don’t usually grind some guy I barely know.

          I walked back over to the other boys. Aaron and Blake looked furious. Kyle, Callon, and Ethan looked shocked. I rolled my eyes.

          “I’m going to go get another drink.” I announced.

          “Leighton, I don’t know if that’s a good idea.” Logan popped out of nowhere, and Jordyn was right beside him.

          “Why not?” I whined.

          “Because you’ve already had way more than you need.”

“One more? Please?” I pouted.

          “One. That’s it.” Aaron spoke up.

          “Yay!” I screamed.

I ran over to the coolers and reached in. I pulled out two. ‘No one’s gonna tell me what to do!’ I quickly downed one before I went back to our group.

          I plopped down on the log next to Jaden. I looked over at Blake. His jaw was clenched and his hands were balled up. Aaron looked about the same. They remind me of the Hulk. I giggled at the thought of them being big and green. Everyone looked at me like I was crazy which caused me to laugh even more.

          “I think we should go home now, Leighton.” Blake stood up.

I groaned. “But I’m having fun!”

          He gave me the look. You know, the one you get from your parents that says ‘Get your ass up. Now.’

          “Fine. But I don’t want to walk. It’s too far!” I grinned mischievously.

 He sighed and walked over to me. I reached my arms up to him, and he picked me up. He sat me on his hip like you would carry a toddler. I sat my head in the crook of his neck. I think Logan was right. I’m drunk off my ass.

A/N I had fun writing this chapter. I haven’t ever written anything like that, so it may suck.. But anyway, that’s a picture of Jaden over there. Scream by Usher is also over to the side. That is the song Jaden and Leighton danced to. :) Vote, comment, fan! <3
