A/N So it is exactly 5:48 am where I live. I literally got two hours of sleep last night. I know this chapter is short, but I was awake and I had time so I decided to upload. I have a lot of crap going on right now so I'm not sure when I can upload again. I'll try my hardest to upload this weekend, though. Hopefully, you'll enjoy this chapter. Vote, Comment, Fan? No? Okay... Looove, Madison...

Blake’s POV:
Aaron turned and walked to the door, throwing a sympathetic smile over his shoulder. He walked out and closed the door behind him. I sighed and sat down in the chair next to Leighton’s bed.
“Jacob was my dads brother.” I got straight to the point. “When I was fourteen, my parents left Jordyn and I at home and went on their monthly date night. They were on their way home when another car hit them. They flipped seven times and died before the ambulance even got there.” I paused to wipe away the few tears that had escaped. Then I continued. “We were sent to live with Uncle Jacob and Aunt Christina and our cousins.”
I stopped and pulled up my sleeves. I exposed my scarred wrists to her. I studied her face. I saw the tears rush to her eyes.
“I started the day after the funeral. When I was sixteen, I cut too deep. It was on purpose, though. I didn’t want to go on without my parents. Other teenagers always talk about hating their moms and dads, but I was so close to mine. Aaron found me just in time. Just like he found you.” I tried to wipe away my tears, but they were just replaced by new ones.
Leighton gave up on holding back her tears and let them spill over.
“I’ve been where you are, Leighton. I know that giving up seems like the easiest thing to do right now. I realized that. The day I got out of the hospital, I threw all of my razors away. It may seem impossible, but things WILL get better.” I told her.
“I am so sorry, Blake.” She cried.
I walked over and wrapped my a. rms around her. I felt her body shake from silent sobs.
We sat there like that for so long. During that time, I realized that I misunderstood the way I felt about her. I love this girl, but not the way I thought I did. I love her like I love Jordyn.
