A/N Yeah, I know. I said I would upload on Friday... I had to go to a football game and then on Saturday I had a Girl Scout meet and THEN I had to go to my dads. Fun, right? Ha, no. I know I'm a terrible person for leaving y'all hanging. This chapter is actually kind of long. Okay, so, ENJOY! <3

Aaron’s POV:
Two days.
That’s how long I’ve sat in this hospital room watching her sleep. The doctor said she’ll be okay, though. She lost a lot of blood and she managed to take a few of the pills before I got to her. Not enough to kill her, but she’ll be out for a while.
They boys and I feel terrible for how we treated her lately. We’ve yet to find out why she is all bruised up. They found out that one of her ribs were broken. Jaden said that she was okay when he dropped her off, but something seems off.
I rubbed my bloodshot eyes. I’ve never really been one to cry a lot, but finding Leighton like that broke my heart. So, I’ve been waiting for her to wake up. I wasn’t there when she need someone; I refuse to leave her side now.
I glanced up at her from my sketchbook. She looked so fragile and broken lying in the hospital bed. I couldn’t resist the urge to draw it. No one knew I could draw. It’s a private talent. An escape.
I made one last line and looked up at her. As if she knew I was finished drawing her, she blinked her bright blue eyes open.
“Leighton.” I jumped up and rushed to her side.
She smiled softly, and then I could see the tears rush to her eyes.
“I’m so sorry.” She whispered.
“What happened?” I whispered back.
Tears fell from her eyes. She shook her head.
“Never mind. We can talk later. Do you need anything?”
“Water? And a doctor maybe.” She answered.
I nodded and went to find the doctor.
Leighton’s POV:
I stared at the door waiting on Aaron to come back. I feel terrible that he had to find me like that.
I feel selfish; I wasn’t really thinking about how they’d feel when they found me. All I was thinking about was escaping. I don’t plan on telling them about Jaden and what he did. I’m not sure how they’d react. I don’t know what they’d do.
The door opened and I expected Aaron to walk in… but he didn’t. The person I never wanted to see again; they reason I’m here walked in.
“Leighton…” He started.
“Why are you here, Kaidyn?” I snapped.
“I heard what happened. Word travels fast. I came to apologize. I’ve been an ass for so long. I know that saying sorry won’t help, but I owe you an explanation.”
I glared at him, waiting for him to go on.
He took a deep breath and then continued. “At first, I wanted to fit in. All of the other boys were making fun of people and I wanted to be friends with them. It’s sick, I know. Every time I wanted to apologize and stop, I realized how much pain I caused you. I know you; you’re too nice. You would have forgiven me, and you deserved so much better than me. And… I…. I didn’t want to fall for you even more than I already had so I stayed away. Leighton, I tried to get myself to believe the lies I told you. You aren’t ugly. You’re the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen. Hurting you like I did was uncalled for.” He said quickly.
I felt tears fall from my eyes. “Please go.” I said weakly.
“Leighton, please…”
“GO!” I yelled. He just stood there.
“Kaidyn, you were all I had! When you started acting that way, my entire world seemed to be falling apart!” My voice raised an octave with every word.
Tears fell freely down my face, now. The door flew open and Aaron rushed in. Blake was right behind him.
“Who the hell are you?” Aaron questioned as his eyes flickered between my tear stained face and Kaidyn.
Kaidyn ignored him. “ I know I hurt you. I know I can’t fix it this easily, but I will try until you do forgive me.” With that, he turned and left the room.
Aaron’s POV:
“Who was that guy?” I asked.
“Kaidyn.” She said as she looked up at me with tears in her eyes.
Kaidyn? And then it clicked. Kaidyn, the guy she talked about in the note. I rushed over to her and wrapped my arms around her. She buried her head in my chest and sobbed.
He better stay away from her. I’ll kill him.
“Aaron, can I talk to Leighton for a minute?” Blake spoke up after a few minutes.
I nodded, knowing he was going to tell her.
