'Blown Away' by Carrie Underwood to the side.

Leighton’s POV:

Jaden threw a grape at my mouth. Well, it the general direction of my mouth. We were laughing too hard to actually throw right. This is really clique. The picnic, I mean. I don’t really know what Jaden thinks we are. Did I make him think I was… attracted… to him at the party? Duh, Leighton. You were all over him! Well, I was sorta drunk.

I just don’t think I like Jaden like that. He’s like the big brother I never had.

          “OW!” He yelped.

“Oops.” I bit back laughter. I guess I got kind of distracted and hit him in the forehead with a grape.

I gave up and doubled over in laughter. I felt something hit my nose.

          “My nose!” I gasped.

“Revenge is sweet.” He said as he popped a grape in his mouth.

I picked up the tub and started pelting him with grapes. Soon, he started picking up the grapes on the sand and throwing them back. Well, that backfired.

          I took of running.

“YOU”LL NEVER CATCH ME!” I yelled through fits of laughter.

Our grape war came to an end when we lost all of the grapes. Now, we’re in Jaden’s car heading home. I grinned when my favorite song rang through the speakers.

I started singing.

“Dry lightning cracks across the skies

Those storm clouds gather in her eyes

Daddy was mean ole mister

Mama was an angel in the ground

The weather man called for a twister

She prayed blow it down

There's not enough rain in oklahoma

To wash the sins out of that house

There's not enough wind in oklahoma

To rip the nails out of the past

Shatter every window till it's all blown away,

Every brick, every board, every slamming door flown away

Till there's nothing left standing,

Nothing left to yesterday

Every tear-soaked whiskey memory blown away,

Blown away

[ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsfreak.com/c/carrie+underwood/blown+away_21010984.html ]

She heard those sirens screaming out

Her daddy laid there passed out on the couch

She locked herself in the cellar

Listened to the screaming of the wind

Some people called it taking shelter

She called it sweet revenge

Shatter every window till it's all blown away,

Every brick, every board, every slamming door flown away

Till there's nothing left standing,

Nothing left to yesterday

Every tear-soaked whiskey memory blown away,

Blown away

There's not enough rain in oklahoma

To wash the sins out of that house

There's not enough wind in oklahoma

To rip the nails out of the past

Shatter every window till it's all blown away,

(Blown away)

Every brick, every board, every slamming door flown away

(Flown away)

Till there's nothing left standing,

Nothing left to yesterday

Every tear-soaked whiskey memory blown away,

Blown away, blown away, blown away, blown away”

When the song ended, I realized we were parked at a house. That wasn’t the Taylor’s. It was Jaden’s.

“What’re we doing here?” I asked.

“I want to show you something.”

We both got out of the car and walked up the front steps of his house. He said nothing as we walked up the stairs and to his bedroom. I’d been here a ton of times over the past few weeks so being in his room didn’t bother me.

“So… What are you showing me?” I asked as we walked into his room.

He spun around and pinned me against the wall. His lips pressed to mine. What the hell?!

I brought my hands up and placed them on his chest to push him away. He grabbed them roughly and pinned them above my head. He shoved his tongue into my mouth. This isn’t pleasant at all!

I bit his tongue. He pulled his head back but started kissing my neck.

“Ow! Jaden! Let go of me!” I cried. Memories of my father flashed through my mind. Tears escaped my eyes.

          “Please.” I whispered.

He kept on. Violated. That’s how I feel. I brought my knee up and kicked him. He backed always from me and doubled over.

I just stood and cried. I know, stupid. I should have ran or something. He straightened up and looked up at me with cold, angry eyes. He pulled his right arm back and then let it fly forward. Pain shot through my face. He… He hit me! I cried out in pain. He punched me again, but in the stomach this time. I fell to the ground.

When I looked up at him, I didn’t see Jaden. I saw my father. I jumped to my feet, ignoring the terrible pain in my stomach. I ran to the door. I honestly expected him to come after me, to hit me again and again. But he didn’t. I made it down the stairs, out the front door, and down the street.

I had to slow down then. I could barely walk, and I couldn’t really see through my tears. I walked for God knows how long until a familiar house came into view. I groaned as I realized that I’d have to sneak through the back. Not like the boys would care anyway.
