Leighton’s POV:
“Leighton!”
I sat up quickly. I tried to wipe away my tears, but they were quickly replaced.
“It’s okay, Leighton. It was just a dream.” Aaron pulled me onto his lap, and I buried my head in his chest and cried.
Aaron’s POV:
“Jaden, you’re hurting me!” The one line Leighton screamed in her sleep that really bothered me stuck in my mind. It played over and over like a broken record.
I rubbed her back in attempt to calm her down. Her body was shaking. I really wanted to know why she screamed about Jaden, but now was not the time to bring it up.
After a while of us sitting there in silence, she looked up at me and wiped her tears away.
“Thank you.” She whispered.
I smiled slightly at her. “Harry Potter marathon?” I asked, knowing she needed to get her mind off of the dream.
She grinned and nodded.
I knew she would say yes. We’re both secretly obsessed with Harry Potter.
“I’ll go down and get snacks. You put the first one in.” I told her. She mock saluted.
I quietly walked to the kitchen. People in this house can be vicious when they get woken up. Blake, mainly. I shuttered thinking about the time he poured cereal down my shirt. Not pleasant at all.
I opened the pantry and grabbed our favorite snacks. Which consisted of gummy worms, oreos, marshmallows, and Doritos. I went to the refrigerator and pulled out a few drinks.
I grinned and walked up the stairs towards her room.
