The Moons New Guardian

Chapter 3

Earlier

North's Pov

The party is finally over. Tooth and Bunny retire to their homes while Jack says that He might head to visit Jamie. I wander back to my personal workshop. Tooth and Bunny don't know it but I overheard their conversation. It was only a matter of time before Jack found his way there. It just happened sooner than I expected. My thoughts wander to Elsa. I remember when Manny first brought her to us.

Flashback to around 310 years ago

I was sitting at my desk tinkering with a new airplane model when a yeti burst into my room. Surprised I dropped it shattering the left wing. Groaning I let out a frustrated growl. The Yeti also lets out a frightened gasp.

"What have I told you about knocking?" I tell him. Talking to me in his Native Language he tells me that Manny has made an appearance. I rush to my feet and follow him into the globe room. There I see the giant globe with millions of twinkling lights. My eyes wander to where Manny presides. Or at least his spirit.

"Ah Man in the Moon is good to see you again." My words fall out coated in a heavy Russian Accent. I hear his voice in my head.

"I Have someone who needs your help." He tells me. Continuing he says "Her name is Elsa. She is my daughter." I had no idea he had a child. A gasp escapes my lips.

"Daughter?" I question.

"Yes, Daughter. She has recently become a guardian of my choice. However, I don't believe she is yet strong enough to join with you and the others. But, I want you to help her grow. Her death came from the love of her sister. She will protect the hearts of children." He explained to me.

"So you had two Daughters?" I ask him trying to clarify something from his previous statement.

"No, her sister was born from her Earthly parents." He tells me. My lips from an "O" shape as I nod my head in understanding. "Please call Bunny, Tooth, and Sandy. she should be arriving soon. Make sure to explain everything. However, excluding the fact that she is my kin." I nod in agreement. Soon after Manny disappears. I walk over to the control console and place my hand on a lever. I turn it and push it into place. The Northern lights overpower the globe sending them out like a beam of light.

A few minutes passed before Tooth and Bunny arrive. Soon after Sandy does as well. Tooth and her small group of fairies flit around worry woven across her face. Bunny as well. Sandy just dozes off a bit.

"North whats wrong?" Bunny asks in his Australian accent. Worry lacing his voice

"I have some news for everyone," I say.

"Is it Pitch is he back? Or Maybe his brother?" Tooth fires questions at me.

"No No nothing bad," I reassure them.

"Then Why did you call us here?" Bunny asks. Sandy also shows his confusion with a Question mark.

"Manny has chosen a new guardian," I tell them. A look of surprise flashes over their face.

"Why weren't we here when he did? Who is it? Was it the Leprechaun?" Tooth tries to ask.

"She is a new one. Her name is Elsa. She is the Guardian of Love. She is very important to Manny. At least he said she is. However, He believes she isn't ready to become a Guardian. So he wants us to train her. To raise her." I use the details given to me by manny but exclude her from being his child.

"What? Why?" Bunny asks. "I don't want to babysit." He continued. "Is she like going to spend the weekend with me two days with you and the others with Tooth?" He obviously didn't like the idea of having to care for a new Guardian.

"Bunny I'm sure we'll figure it out." tooth says reassuringly putting her hand on his shoulder. That seemed to calm him down. Just then I heard a small voice call out.

"Hello?" The voice was timid and scared. "I'm looking for North." Seeing as that was my cue I Looked over the railing and saw her on the floor below us. She was standing tall. Her Platinum white hair cascading in a braid over her shoulder. She was wearing a Blue dress that complimented her hair. She was dodging the yetis left and right as they hurried around making toys.

"Up here," I called down to her waving from above. She looked up and I saw the hope and wonder in her eyes. Immediately I knew she was already home.

Back in the time after the party.

After that day she and Bunny were inseparable. They became Best Friends while she related most to tooth. She liked Sandy and he liked her but she was talkative, him, not so much. However, I always saw her as my own kin. And I had always hoped she thought the same of me. While I was reliving the moment I noticed that the motion sensors in Elsa's room were going off. I immediately thought it was her. I rushed out of my chair and made my way to her room.

The familiar hallway surrounded me as I came up to her room. Twisting the doorknob I knew it was still locked which meant someone with a key was in there. Pulling out my own I opened the door. Her familiar scent filled my nose. Looking around I called out to her.

"Elsa," I called out. "Please come out I know you're in here. My alarm sensors went off." I continued to search the bottom half of her room. When I saw no one was here I made my way to the ladder I had built leading up to her sanctuary. I heard some shuffling so I knew someone was up there. My head peeked through the top but I saw no one. I felt tears prick at my eyes. There was no way I was imagining it. I know what I heard. I immediately jumped down and went to the globe room. Turning the lever I summoned the other guardians.
