Chapter 8

Ch.8

Elsa's POV

Tooth took us to the top of one of her building where a room stood. There were no walls and you could see the sky perfectly. In the middle of the room was a long table. Most likely used for meetings. As the sun was in the sky I turned and saw the lighting was perfect on Jack's face. His skin seemed to glow and his hair sparkled. He just looked so cute. Realizing what I just thought I coughed to myself and internally screamed. Elsa.... You stupid girl. Bad bad. The business you are here for business. Don't look Don't look. I couldn't help but turn at him once more saving a mental image of him. GAHHHH!! I pinched my hand to snap myself out of it. Hey, I'm only human and he is finnnneeeee. You have to give me that. I sighed shaking my head. You are the protector of Love, You have no time for... Love.

"Now then let's get down to business," I say coughing while taking a seat at the head of the table. Jack took the seat on my right and tooth to my left. "A little birdy told me that you guys don't have Pitch." I tell them Bluntly. Tooth is trying to mask her shock. Probably wondering how i know and jack... well, he simply has no idea whats going on. I pull out the folder my informant gave me. Handing it to tooth I let her look over it before starting again. "I'm going to give you one chance to tell me right now." I look her dead in the eye. "Did you guys capture Pitch?" I ask her. She shakes her head.

"No, But he's taken care of for sure." Jack intercepts. Crossing his arms looking as though he has the upper hand. Internally rolling my eyes I look at him. He's cute cocky. Elsa you hormonally person I swear if you don't pull yourself together---just ughhhh.

"How so?" I ask him

"Well, his Nightmares. After---" I cut him off.

"I'm aware of what happened but do you know where he is now? Do you know if he's alive? For God's Sakes do you even stop to wonder what happened to him after he was overpowered?" I yelled slamming my fist on the table. He may be cute but his ignorance cancels it out. "The Guardians have a system. Just like anyplace else we need to keep criminals locked up."

Jack's POV

Her sudden Outburst startles me. Wow okay, Rude much. But She's really scary when she's mad so I have no choice but to answer her truthfully.

"No." I tell her lowering my head in understanding of 'The System'. "But Do you??" I question a sense of conviction in my voice. Raising an eyebrow at me she answers.

"I have an idea." Smiling triumphantly. She Takes the file from tooth who is still shocked as she reads over it she hands it to me. "Have you ever heard of Temp??? Also, know as temptation or tempest." She asks me.

"Can't say that I have," I tell her while opening the file. There I see information as the one know as Temp. He looks strikingly similar to pitch but he has ditched the robes and has a bit more color to him. Picking up the page I see information on Pitch. Then I see the words Affiliation: Brothers. "Wait," I say rising to my feet. "Pitch has a brother? How come I've never heard of him?"

"Pitch and Temp don't get along very well. Pitch lurks in fear. Temp in temptation. When a person does something they are tempted to do they lose all sense of fear, they only focus on the thing they desire most. So he tends to steal Pitch's thunder." Turning to tooth she asks.

"Temp has never been an actual threat right?" Tooth just nods. "But when was the last you heard of him?" Tooth gasps. And Elsa nods.

"I believe that Temp has Pitch. And I believe he used the nightmares to get him." I was confused just a teensy bit.

"How do you mean?" I ask her.

"Well the nightmares are made from the dreams of humans and human dreams tend to have a lot of their desires, their wishes. It should be a cakewalk for temp to manipulate the nightmares using the core that each dream is based off." She said walking over behind me and taking the files. "According to this file last time Temp made a large appearance It was during the dark ages. When you first defeated him and back when we didn't have a system he was allowed to leave, as was Pitch. Soon after there was a large fluctuation of temps powers being monitored. Then right before you guys let Pitch disappear recently with the nightmares another large spike of temptation outbursts." Elsa says throwing the file on the table with a hand on her hip. I immediately thought she looked really hot. Wait what I ask myself... Stupid stupid you just met her. I continue to internally kick myself. But she was beautiful I couldn't help myself from thinking about such things.

Tooth flew over next to Elsa. "I'll pass this information over to the rest of the gang." She placed a hand on Elsa's shoulder. "Thank you." She said. "For coming to me. I know how hard this is for you. But you know he was wrong, right? You know he didn't mean it?" She said trying to convince her.

"I know he didn't mean it. But he wasn't wrong." Elsa said taking her hand off her shoulder. "Plus It's been around a hundred years. I'm over it" She sighed and stepped away. "It was nice to meet you, Jack, I hope we meet again soon." Looking at tooth she said. "Bye tooth." Sadness laced her voice as she turned around and pulled another snowglobe out of her bag. She whispered something I couldn't hear to it and then tossed it. The colors swirled as she stepped through it.

Sorry I have been updating late. I started a college prep course that's three hours long...Ughhhh it's so boring. But my teacher brings chocolate so it's all good. lol. Hope you guys enjoy this chapter.
