Famous Last Words - Chapter 7
By the time Friday night came, I was exhausted because I’d been kept on my feet all week. If I wasn’t helping out with the carnival or doing my school work, then I was trying to fix the arguments between Frank and Charlotte. Let me tell you, I haven’t had much luck with that one because they’re both way too stubborn.
Somewhere in between chaos called ‘this week’, me and My Chem –minus Frank- have formulated a plan. I know its natural in relationships to have arguments and annoy people with them, but we knew something had to be done when it started to affect the band. During band practice, Frank was unusually quiet and they barely got through one song in three hours because Frank refused to play more than one note for the length of an entire song. As you could probably imagine, it somewhat frustrated the other guys. Then, whenever one of them mention his lack of…effort, Frank got angry and he snapped. It was insane. He never gets angry so easily like that.
Eventually we figured out a way to stop them arguing. Char had told me Frank was annoyed because he’d seen her kissing another guy but he didn’t believe if when she said it was just a scene that she had to rehearse for Drama. Personally, I think she could’ve chosen a better place to rehearse than the school courtyard, where anyone could see what was going on. So, we figured if it was the acting that caused the arguments, then maybe it could fix them too. We asked the guy who Charlotte kissed to help us and he agreed since apparently she’s been a ‘moody bitch’ in Drama all week (I don’t know…). He will attempt to kiss her tonight at the carnival while Frank is watching and if I know Charlotte, she’ll back off and say what she really thinks. Naturally, Frank and Charlotte don’t know about this. I know its quite a sneaky plan and it might not work, but I don’t want to be faced with the decision of choosing between Frank and Charlotte and I’m pretty sure that My Chemical Romance don’t want to break up because of something like this.
Right now, I’m sat on my bed wondering how such an idiotic plan could possibly work aswell as freaking out about going to the carnival with Mikey. I’ve already told him I think he’s cute; I’m scared I’ll burst out saying that I’m in love with his eyes or something (well, its true but I don’t want him knowing that). He’s picking me up at six and its now five forty-five. Why can’t he be here already so we can get this over with?
Wait, where did this come from? All week I’ve been hyped up about tonight with Mikey, but now that its here, I want it to end? Sometimes I confuse even myself!
Just then, I heard the doorbell ring. I took a deep breath. You’re going to go out and have fun with him, I reassured myself. I hope I would have fun because I feel more nervous than I ever have been around Mikey before and Charlotte hasn’t been as much help as usual because she’s angry with my brother and refuses to come anywhere near my house. Sometimes, she can be such a drama queen.
The doorbell rang again, jolting me out of my thoughts. Damn! Mikey’s down there waiting for me, probably looking as gorgeous as always! Wow, I say that a lot.
Note to Self: Find some other adjectives besides ‘gorgeous’
I bounced down the stairs and opened the door to reveal Mikey standing there in a very dark and sexy attire. I would say he looked magnificent but that just sounds weird so I’ll stick with he looks gorgeous.
"You look really pretty Terra," he said, forcing my attention to his words instead of his looks.
"Uhh…" I hesitated, looking down at myself. I was wearing dark skinny jeans, my black knee-high converse, a white top and a black jacket. I also curled my hair a little to make it look wavy. Yes, I’ve tried really hard for this (and failed), "Thanks, you too."
