Famous Last Words

Recap:

"Don't worry T," Frank shushed me as I leant against the wall of Burton's Coffee, the smallest, (and the best) coffee shop in the town. "Stop worrying yourself,"

Basically, since I woke up this morning, I've been more jittery than the jitterbug and I thought that was impossible. I tried listening to my iPod, but for once it didn't calm me. The band joined us for our weekly Saturday coffee morning. It woke us up for the weekend. Mikey and Gee had gone into the coffee shop to order and Ray had disappeared down the street into the music store to look at new guitar picks (he likes losing them). Frank and I had stayed outside to wait for Charlotte, who was always fashionably late.

"How are we going to keep this away from her, Frankie?" I asked, the cool surface of the red brick wall, keeping me slightly level headed. Only slightly. I haven't gone insane just yet.

"I don't know T. That woman has eyes like a hawk and ears like a bat!" he exclaimed, before shuddering. "That's not attractive."

I giggled at his attempt to make me feel better. What he said just then isn't true and we both know that. Melanie is good looking for a thirty-two year old, but she's posh, snobby and condescending. She tries way too hard.

"How will either of us get anytime with our friends?" I asked him and the frown on his face told me he was deep in thought.

"We'll think of something. She treats us like nine year olds who need constant supervision."

Except we were ten when she became so obsessed, I thought the words I knew both of us were thinking. Instead i said, "Then we'll do it like they do in the movies."

"Huh?" Frankie asked confused, "We're gunna string her up and ride her into the desert on horseback?"

I laughed at his random brain, "No, I wish."

"Then what are we going to do?"

"We're going to be sneaky."

"Ahh!" Frank said in realisation.

Nothing more was said on the subject as we saw Ray, Gee and Mikey approaching.

"Hey guys!" Frank greeted them with a weird man-hug. I love how they all returned the hug with the same happiness.

After Frank had been given his Frappuccino, and was happily slurping it down with a cream moustache forming around his mouth, Mikey strayed over to me with what I hoped was a Mocha.

He gave me a small bow, "Presenting a medium mocha for Miss Terra Iero," Mikey announced in a distored (and loud) Cockney accent, making us all laugh.

"Yay," I exclaimed. I really love mocha! "Thank you Mikey."

He rested his hand against the wall just next to my head, "Your welcome," he said softly, with a smile, before I felt his lips touch mine, with the same tenderness as last night. Once again it set fireworks off inside me.

"Get a room!" Frank shouted with a joking tone, covering his eyes so he couldn't see, making us break apart.

Awh, damn I miss his lips now, I thought, even though it had only been a few seconds.
