Avery's POV
My head pounds and my body feels weak as I turn in my bed. Except it's not my bed and I fall off what I think is the couch.
I hear yelling from all around once my body almost makes contact with the floor but before I do, someone's oddly warm hands catch me and lift me back up to the couch.
Once I'm safely placed back on the couch I open my eyes and see all the boys and Mona staring at me.
I avoid looking at anyone but Mona. She'd usually just handle it and treat me like normal. I could tell she was looking at me so I had someone to converse with and didn't have to talk to any of the boys.
"You want to share a plate of those disgusting microwaves Dino nuggets?" she asks me squinting her eyes in disgust.
"Don't diss the Dino's. And I'd love them but hell no am I sharing with you." I wasn't one for sharing if I was being honest. If you couldn't already tell.
"Of course. Impatient and greedy." She was smirking at me and before I could slap her upside the head she runs away and to make me my chicken nuggets.
"You've been spending too much time with Axel!" I shout from my spot. The kitchen wasn't far and the whole floor was open concept so I knew she heard me. Her loud laughing confirms that.
I expect for the boys to laugh along and tease Axel that I just dissed him but they all stay quiet which makes me turn my head towards them rather then attempting to look at Mona from my awkward spot on the couch.
I frown at them. "Stop...being weird." I say shaking my head.
They don't really change how they're acting just shift a bit or bite their lips.
"Seriously, if you don't stop treating me like some fragile child I'll bash all your cars in or something..." My threat becomes weak as I rub my elbow and stare at the clock above all of their heads instead of keeping eye contact.
Keegan was the first to speak up, "I wasn't kidding about that window thing earlier Carmichael." he says referring to when I was going to attend the party.
Couldn't be more glad I didn't.
Even though I just got threatened and by Keegan who hates me, I smile.
"And I wasn't kidding about the car thing, Foster." I call him by his last name and we soon get in a small argument that causes Mona to smile at as well.
The rest of the boys are mostly silent which brings my mood down but I just think hey don't know what to say. All I was hoping for was at least Elliot to tell us to stop threatening each other again and hug it out. We never did and just stomped off to our rooms but I just wanted things to be like normal.
Mona walks over with my food and places it in my lap.
"You even brought A1." I smile as I take notice of it in a small container next to all the nuggets.
I hated it on the plate because it was usually never enough for me and I always had to go back and grab more of the sauce.
No matter what happens Mona would always treat me like normal and I appreciated that more than she'd known. I loved her for that. She'd always be home for me. She was family to me, more than my own aunt, uncle, father and cousin were.
"You eat that disgusting pile of shit," she starts
"Sounds delicious." I add in sarcastically. This earns me an eye role from her.
"And I'm gonna have a little talk with them." She says wiggling her finger in the direction of the boys.
"Who's gonna stay with Avery?" Dawson asks right as Mona finishes.
"Keegan." She says. So she noticed too.
He rolls his eyes but takes a seat on a chair nearby and looks towards the tv.
"You realize they'll kill each other right?" Elliot adds in.
"Well I need to talk to the rest of you dumbasses. Let's go." Mona grabs a hoodie hanging on the rack by the door which I notice is Axels from him being the only one left without a sweater.
She couldn't have just taken my hoodie. It was actually Dawson's that I stole while looking for a specific pair of jeans one day but hey tomato tamoto.
Soon enough all six boys and Mona are gone and having a 'talk'. I knew that meant Mona ranting and lecturing the boys for their stupidity.
Keegan complains about the show I'm watching and we're back to arguing once again.

Two and half episodes of FRIENDS later everyone was finally back.Mona's face was flushed and she was breathing heavier than usual. I couldn't tell if that was from her being so angry or having to walk up 11 flights of stairs.
Possibly both. The boys seemed to be less awkward and to have a better understanding now.
Looks like I wouldn't have to break anybody's windshield now.
"We come baring gifts!" Callum shouts holding two bags from Target up.
"What'd you guys get?" I couldn't see through but it seemed like some type of food. The way to my heart.
"We got ice cream!" Bentley yells with a spoon in his hand already.
"We got a bunch of different flavors since we didn't know-"
"I told them your favorite but since boys are stupid they didn't listen." Mona murmurs through a mouth full of her ice cream.
"Before Mona here rudely interrupted me, we got a ton since we didn't know your favorite." Axel shrugs and sets the bag down besides me. He yells for Elliot to grab me a spoon and he does and tosses it to Axel. He catches it perfectly with one hand and hands it to me.
"So Aves, what are you in the mood for?" Bentley jumps on the couch earning a scolding from Dawson for not being careful around me and almost breaking every bone in my body. He was being a tad over dramatic but I appreciated the thought behind it.
"Rocky Road." I tell him stating my favorite ice cream.
"I TOLD YOU!" Mona screeches but it comes out as a jumbled mess due to her vanilla ice cream that she got every time.
Mona goes off on Bentley and I kinda feel bad for the poor guy. I'd been in the receiving end of her rants and hey weren't fun.
"Don't mind them." Victor tells me taking a seat on the floor.
"They picked out every flavor available just in case you miraculously changed your favorite flavor ice cream in 24 hours." He tells me in the same whisper as he did outside the door earlier.
"This is why you're my...Second favorite roommate." I laugh as he tries to glare at me.
I didn't have favorites honestly. I liked all of them the same. Mostly.
Keegan was last but he had his moments. And Dawson...came close to first but I wouldn't tell him that. Or anyone other than Mona.
"Makes sense." Victor smirks. "Your boyfriend should come first anyways. And besides I can hit him in the head with my bag of ice cream." he stands up and runs to the kitchen knowing I was definitely too weak to get up.
Or just too lazy.
