"Barry!" Iris hops into my arms. Her hair is tied up into a bun, messier than Kara's, she is holding my coffee in her hand as she bombards me with her well lit smile.

"Jitters has really changed their customer service!" I mock as she scowls at me. For once it appears things are starting to aline again.

"Dad came to see me yesterday," she gives me a pointed look, "it was as if someone had talked to him, but any ways," she throws up her hands like Ginny Weasley when talking about how Harry Potter gave her a smile, "I told him. I told him about Wally," and at that moment her mouth began to run and my mind froze.

"He freaked of course but he knows. He has a son Barry. Not that your not-" she takes my terror as fear of being abandoned, "You are his son. He know knows he has another son."

I don't dare touch my coffee as I fear that my hands might force the hot liquid out of the cup. "Of course- that's that's great Iris." "Okay, that's all I guess. We will all get together at some point but right now Wally is kinda of shaken up." At that she kisses me on the the cheek and walks away.

Carefully grabbing my cup I walk straight out of Jitters and to my work. To the blond that shouldn't be here but is the only thing that feels right.

"You look like you've seen a ghost Allen," Her tone is mocking but she stops as she catches my eyes. Placing my hands on her desk I think of something to say.

"What's your favorite color?" A smile crepes at the edge of her lips but the facade she puts up pulls the curtains down. "It's a really deep question. Think a little while if you have to," I look at her familiar face one last time before moving to my desk.

I open up a copy of the case file that I turned into Singh yesterday. Kara seemed to find something odd about the note so I have decided to check it out. Running it through the database of criminals I come up with zero matches.

"Blue and red I can't choose," her fake front is slowly melting away. I give her a small smile not noticing the skip in her heart beat. Hours pass in silence. Neither criminals nor metas seemed to be active today.

The clocks strikes the hour of the end of our work day. I've looked up Theia all day and I finally have something. Walking over to Kara's desk her blue eyes connect with mine once more.

"I remembered what you said about Theia," her emotions like before flash across her eyes for a split second before disappearing, "besides a clothing chain, several people, and a questionable site I think I might have found something."

I place a paper on her desk. "The Big Splash," she reads aloud, "or the Theia Impact," her words stop as she scans the document. "This suggest," she looks back up at me, "that a plant previously collided with Earth. "

I nod, "and that's how the moon came to be." Her brows crinkle as she bites her lip in the same fashion as her doppelgänger. "How does that fit with the case?"

I shrug my shoulders. In truth I am now slightly interested, but my casualties from time traveling had my full focus. "I don't know. There might not even be a connection."

I give her a smile before grabbing my bag. Before my foot reaches the door I hear a flood full of words escape her mouth. "Thank you. It means a lot that you looked that up. "

I turn back to her, "we are a team". Her breath catches and then she quickly asks, "would you like to go get something to eat? Or no. I mean we can if you want, but I understand if you don't. I mean we work together and we really don't get along-" I don't cut her off at first because her mumbling are so Kara.

"Kara, yes." Her face lights up with a smile. The first real smile she shown. "I'm free now," my face turns slightly pick as my own stammering way come out, "if you are too."

"I'm starving," Kara states. The empty baskets sit next to us as we both make our way through our third hamburger. I laugh, "me too."

She gives me that look. The look that says I've never felt this before. "You are the first person that I have ever met that has my appetite." "I've only met one," the other version of you I mentally finish.

"So tell me Ms. Danvers who are you?" She looks at me with shock in her eyes before quickly masking it with amusement. "I am a forensic scientist. I live in Central City. I have a really annoying partner. My favorite colors are blue and red," she concludes and then finishes the last bite of her hamburger.

Shaking my head I tell her, "that's not fair. I knew all that. What about your family?" She answers without missing a beat, "I'm disappointed in you Mr. Allen. You get a new partner and you don't even look her up?"

In all honesty I hadn't. I asked Caitlin to look for her other selfs close relations but I couldn't bring my self to simply know this her by the information on the internet. I shrug, "what can I say. I wanted to hear your story from you."

Taking a few french fries she dips them in ketchup, "sorry, I didn't give you the same curtsy I'm afraid." She doesn't look at me with pity or wonder despite what I know she found.

"My parents," she chews her french fries before continuing, "died when I was young. So I-" she bites her bottom lip, "went into foster care. My first family unit was the Danvers. They were the closest I ever came to home after my parents so after I moved on I decided to keep their last name."

Her story was deeply personal and showed a rare glimpse of the real Earth one Kara Danvers.

Her mouth is then filled with french fries and her eyes glued to the table. "I lost my parents to. It's terrible." I pull her eyes up with my gaze. "I recently got my dad back but then lost him again. Now I don't have any experience in foster care

"But I do on the side of waking up every morning with out your parents and the constant struggle of unpacking that suitcase." Her hands freeze in the basket. "You too?" She whispers.

"Yah,"I look away from her heavy gaze, "I just have this need to run and I-" "keep a bag packed just in case," she finishes.

Leaving Big Belly Burger I walk my partner home. The stars are shining bright and my companions attention is completely captivated.

"Beautiful," I say as she stops at the sidewalk. Her blond hair is being pushed by the wind and her head tilted back so she can stare into space. "Yes, yes it is."

I look back to the stars and then to her. How have I never noticed it before? No that's a lie. I have. Kara has always been beautiful but tonight she has slowed herself to be vulnerable.

We are both captivated in our own little bubbles that we fail to notice a group of masked men running straight toward us.

I can't explain it but neither of us despite our abilities heard nor saw them escaping the bank and firing at us. Kara wakes out of her daze faster than me. Another thing that is weird. She uses her body to block mine.

"Kara!" My voice sounds like it's behind a wall. Kara with her back pressed to me stands upright. Her body didn't slacken or fall. "Kara?" The wall falls as the men disappear. I catch only one glimpse of them.

Their hands are empty.

I try to turn her around but her feet are cemented to the floor. It reminds me of Supergirl's steel grip. Walking around her I see two holes in her shirt but no wounds.

My theory was right. She is an alien.
