Justyna arrived first which seemed to calm Jennifer down. Jennifer was relived that Justyna had agreed to come to the dinner. Then it wouldn't be just the three of them. Jennifer also thought that Justyna and Colin should talk. Jennifer felt partly bad that she was one of the reasons why Justyna and Colin wern't close anymore. Jennifer had lost contact with Justyna, as she thought that Justyna and Colin were still talking. Jennifer didn't want Justyna to tell Colin about Avery back then.
"So Avery I want to know everything about you. Not like in a creepy way... it's just you are named after me and... I am actually your second cousin. You mom is a distant cousin," Avery explained. "Were you and my mom close?" Avery asked. "Sorta... she brought me to Vancouver and I became really close with the cast. I was friends with your dad too. Jared and I actually plotted to get your mom and dad together," Justyna laughed. "Wait you played matchmaker for my mom and dad?" Avery asked now curious. "Umm... yeah I guess you could say that," Justyna said hesitant. "Can I show you my room?" Avery asked. She wanted to ask Justyna more questions about her parents. Maybe she would be the key to helping them get back together. "Sure," Justyna smiled.
"I want my mom and dad to get back together. I have been watching Once Upon A Time and they seemed so in love. How could all of that just disappear?" Avery asked Justyna. "Colin lost his memory in a car crash. He didn't remember being with your mother. He thought that he was still together with his ex wife," Justyna explained. "So my mom ran away with me and never told Colin," Avery added. "Something like that," Justyna said. "So what is your plan on how you will get them back together?" Justyna asked. "I honestly don't know. I was hoping maybe you had some ideas since you were the original matchmaker," Avery said. "I think you just have to give them time. They will find their way back to each other eventually," Justyna said. "That is exactly what aunt Ginny said," Avery remembered. "Ok while how about we wait and see how dinner goes today and then maybe I can help you come up with some ideas on how we can push them together," Justyna suggested. "Ok! Sounds like a good plan. We can call it operation Colifer," Avery suggested. Colifer was what all of the Oncers had called Jennifer and Colin back when they were on the show. When Avery called it an operation it reminded Justyna of Jared. She hadn't talked to him in so long. She wondered how he was doing.
When Colin got to Jennifer's house Jennifer opened the door for him since Avery was with Justyna. "Hey," Jennifer smiled. "You look gorgeous," Colin complimented her. "Colin, I am wearing jeans and a tank top, and I am exhausted," Jennifer gave him a hard stare. "None of that matters, you look amazing," Colin said. What did Colin want? Why was he being so nice? Jennifer decided to just take the compliment. "Thank you!" Jennifer said. "Colin's here!" Jennifer yelled into Avery's bedroom. Justyna and Avery joined Jennifer and Colin in the living room. Jennifer then got Colin a beer and gave Justyna and Avery ice tea. "So Colin what have you been up to?" Jennifer asked. She wondered if he still acted. "I have been going to auditions, but haven't done a series or anything long term. Mostly just recurring roles and guest starring. How about you?" Colin asked Jennifer. "While I don't act anymore. I have been doing some fundraising stuff and teaching at the theatre company-"
"You stopped acting? Wow you had so many projects and you were starting to direct shorts the last time I saw you," Colin said surprised. "Yeah well, I wanted to spend time with Avery. I had enough money saved to get us by and when I help fundraise and teach they pay me, so I didn't really need to act anymore," Jennifer said. "Do you do conventions still?" Colin asked. "Nope, I have been keeping out of the spotlight," Jennifer said. Avery knew that her mom gave her whole life up for her, but she didn't know that her mom had lots of things lined up before. Avery knew that her mom missed it. Avery wasn't into acting, but she often visited the theatre company that her mom worked at. She was always passionately teaching the students. Some of her friends went there for lessons and they always said that her mom was an amazing actress and teacher.Hope you liked the chapter. Please vote and comment. How do you think the rest of the dinner will go?
