As usual, lily sat in the library reading her book. She was always doing that sometimes it got boring for her. Just like today, she prayed for any sort of thing to happen that would grab her attention. Something eventful to happen, since it was 3 days ago since that happened when Ethan showed up at the library. Ever since, the two had not had any form of contact.

As though to answer her prayers, the same loud sound of dragging of a seat ringed in her ears and her eyes shot up to meet the one and only, Ethan.

"never thought I'd see you again" she joked, as she scanned him.

He looked pretty good in her opinion, he had a black hoodie on, written 'live'. He also had black ripped jeans on and some black converse. She noticed his liking for black and smiled.

"didn't think you could get rid of me that easily lils" he smiled, slightly making her heart rate pick at the mention of the nickname which she now loved.

"well, what brings you here?" she asked.

"was bored. Decided to come and bother you. But since that's going to be hard in here, let's go out and have fun" he shrugged.

She nodded in response, putting her book in her bag and hung it on her back. She was definitely glad he showed up, she barely had friends around here and it was about time she started hanging with people as her grandma was worried she'd turn out to hate people.

"where are we going?" she asked as they got out of the building and headed to Ethan's black truck that lily thought was to die for.

She didn't have a car herself as she didn't have the type of money to buy herself such luxuries. And she definitely wasn't gonna bother Carol about it. She knew that would be too much of a burden for someone that age.

"you'll see"

They got out of the car, lily scanned the place noticing that they were at a beach. It was definitely a private beach as they were the only ones there. The calm sound of the waves and birds was all that could be heard.

They walked silently next to the water and sat on the sand. The silence was comforting. One where each other's company was just enough.

"tell me about yourself" Ethan's suddenly spoke.

"I'm an only child, I live with my grandma, Carol, I didn't really finish high school but that doesn't matter, I don't think it'll ruin my life that much" she said a bit dismissively, indicating that, that was all she was going to say as of now.

"well I have two siblings, my twin and my sister. She's in collage and my brother lives with me but sometimes he bunks at his girlfriend's, always bored when he leaves"

"did he leave today?" she asks.

"yup" he replies popping the 'p'.

They continue sitting in silence as they watched the sunset. It was definitely beautiful, especially here at the beach.
