Lily smiled slightly, thinking if whether or not this was a date. They had hung out together before but it was always normal. She didn't know why she was suddenly feeling nervous about it. But Ethan did too, he was freaking out 10x than she was, trying his best to impress her. He too didn't know it it was a date or not, but only hoped it was.

She wore some black ripped jeans and a white hoodie with a small black cactus on the top right. She applied a tad bit of makeup, trying her best to look good for Ethan while still being natural as she didn't like wearing makeup. She waited patiently for Ethan in her living room and at exactly 4:05, he was at the door.

When lily opened the door, she was met with a neat Ethan. For the first time, his hair was actually combed, though it was still messy. He was wearing all black, just like the first time they met at the library. She smiled slightly and he did too.

"ready to go?" he asked.

She nodded her head in response and he interlocked their fingers and took her to the car. He opened the door for her before getting in himself and by this, lily could definitely tell this was a date, making her extra nervous. They started the drive and went to a small restaurant. It looked vintage and classic and lily was already loving the vibes it gave.

They got in and sat in a booth where they immediately got attended to. And after ordering they enjoyed a nice conversation as some nice, low music played in the back.

"when I was nine, I jumped out of my window cause I thought I was a dare devil. I ended up in hospital for a whole week and when I got back to school, I told everyone I was saving a puppy that was on the tree outside my window and they believed it. Everyone thought I was cool." lily told Ethan.

"I thought you didn't have friends" Ethan teased.

"I did, just never let them come home and I never talked about them. The only time we'd hang out was in school, otherwise I'd be at the library, reading a good book. Speaking of which, I haven't read one In a while"

"my bad" he laughed.

She joined him in the laughter and they enjoyed their meal. After eating they left and went to the rooftop of the restaurant where they were surprisingly allowed to go. They both sat criss-cross-apple-sauce and waited for the sun to set.
