The family had gathered at grandma's house. She was still in hospital and they had found this a good time to just gather. Lily was seated on her bed, not wanting to associate with the rest of her family. A knock was heard on her door and she expected it to be someone from her family but to her surprise, it wasn't. It was Stephanie.

"hey L," she smiled softly.

"hey steph"

She sat down next to her on her bed. Letting the silence consume them. They remained that way for a while.

"my parents and I also aren't on good terms, they were never really supportive of anything I did. Hated me to be honest. So I left when I was only 16, found myself in aussie and Grayson and Ethan stumbled into my life and made it what it is today, beautiful "she spoke suddenly.

"sorry about your parents"

"it's OK, there's still hope for you though. You know, hope for Getting your family back together" she told her.

"and how do you know that?" lily asked.

"because, your parents seem sorry for what they did, when I was coming upstairs to your room, your mom asked me to make sure you were OK"

"did she?"

"yeah, she did. Don't Give up too soon. I know they might have done you dirty, but whichever chance you get, always try to reconcile, family first right?"

"yeah" lily smiled lightly.

They sat on her bed, talking about anything and everything and though lily had put into thought Stephanie's offer, she knew it would take some time before she was fully OK with her family.
