The day was definitely dull. Australia had decided to be cold, and boring. And it wasn't just the weather, it was she fact that today, after a whole week, grandma Carol would be buried and they'd see her for the last time. The clouds were gray as if they were sad too.

Lily wore her black dress, it was an off the shoulders plain black dress. She wore a coat over it, as it was definitely cold. Stephanie stood beside her, also wearing a black dress. Hers was a bit different, with lace around a few areas. They were at Carol's house, as lily didn't want to be home alone and also didn't want to bother the twins by staying over all the time, cause she had been doing that for the whole past week, unable to be alone.

She felt her eyes already getting stingy. But she fought the tears. She had no makeup on, she rarely had it. So she wasn't afraid of it getting ruined. They walked down the stairs in silence and got to the door, outside was Ethan's car, waiting for the two to join, so that they could go to the church.

Stephanie held lily's hand and they walked out. Lily locked the door and the got into the car. She sat in the passenger seat next to Ethan. As Steph sat with gray in the back. The ride was silent as lily stared out of the window. She felt Ethan's hand on her lap and she relaxed slightly. She was scared, scared to see her grandma's body lifeless. She didn't want to ever see such a scene. It was scary for her.

They pulled up at the church and went to the back where there was a gravesite. There were many seats arranged around the area, the Graves in front of all the seats. The coffin lay in front of them all, where they would bury it after the funeral. Lily sat at the front, where she was meant to seat and Ethan sat beside her and so did Stephanie and Grayson.

The service started, but lily was dozed off. She didn't listen a single bit of what was going on as she finally came to the realization that she would never she her grandma after this. This was the last time that she would ever see her. She'd leave her forever.

I'll never leave you, I'll always be In here.

She held her heart, hoping for any sense of comfort. Her hand became warm and she closed her eyes, relaxing. She knew Carol was In her heart, forever.

"she will be forever remembered, as the most beautiful and kind human being, rest in peace Carol." the man reading the eulogy concluded.

Lily snapped out of her daze, realizing that she had dosed of through the whole eulogy. People were now paying their last respects and even Ethan, gray and Steph went. It was finally her turn, she passed her mother who had just finished paying her respects. She didn't speak to her though, she wasn't ready yet. She walked slowly towards the coffin and knelt beside it.

"hey grandma, I don't even know what to say. I just wish you didn't go. You were the best that happened to me, the best thing. And I was so blessed to have you for 18 years of my life, I wish it were more but we don't always get what we want. I love you so much and I will miss you endlessly, I'll stay strong for you. Promise"she sobbed, she kissed her grandma's cheek and stood up and walked away.

She didn't turn back. She walked to Ethan and he held her close to him. As they watched the coffin be buried, lily couldn't help but shed more tears.

"goodbye"
