Lily got into her nice dress. It was decent red dress, a vintage one, nothing much but it was one that she liked. She was going for a family gathering that was to be happening at late Grandma Carol's place. She was finally ready to fix everything with her family, though she knew what they did was extremely unforgivable she knew, family is always first and had decided to give them a chance.

She walked all the way there, since she didn't have a car. Once she got there, she noticed that most people had arrived but the people she was mainly looking for were her mom and dad and when she spotted them in her old bedroom, that was now just a room with seats, she immediately went up to them.

"hey mom, hey dad" she smiled.

Her mother looked at her, a smile on her face too. She could tell that she was fighting the urge to cry.

"don't cry mom"

"oh sweetie, I'm not. I just, look at you. All grown up. Mature, you have your own apartment. Job and all"

"thanks mom," she giggled, causing her mother to giggle too.

"look I'm sorry baby, I'm so sorry for everything I did. I know it's hard to forgive. Leaving your child cause of a disorder is something so-"

"fucked up" lily spoke for her.

"yeah, it is. And I'm greatly sorry. I just wasn't ready for a child when I got one. I had just turned 17 when I got pregnant. I wasn't ready. So when I saw you came with problems, I gave up completely and I'm so sorry"

"it's OK mom, I get you had a tough life. Early pregnancy isn't the best. But you got through it and you didn't kill your kid, so I'm proud of you for that. Though you weren't the best mom growing up, at least you are now"

They engulfed each other in a hug as lily's dad watched, extremely happy that the two most important people in his life were here, together. And not fighting.

"I'm so happy we're back as a family" he spoke, joining the hug.

"me too dad, me too"

The night ended well and after a while, lily went over to Stephanie's where she found she was with gray too. And apparently Ethan was asleep at their apartment. So she stayed over for awhile, Hanging out with them before going back home.
