They got to the fair at around 3:00 pm. Lily knew she had to be home by 7, or else her grandma would be worried about her. She didn't want that to happen though, the last time it did, she was scolded and grounded for a whole week. She knew Carol cared for her, so she loved her to death and always understood when she had such protection measures.

They walked around at first, not doing anything but talking. Grayson and Stephanie ended up going to the ferris wheel first but Ethan and lily wanted to go to a different place. The shooting game. Lily had never played it and she so badly wanted to. So Ethan took her there, knowing he was extremely good at the game.

He went first, not missing the target once and getting lily a koala stuffing. It was lily's turn and she had three tries. She had no idea how to work the thing and on her first try she missed it by so far. She sighed deeply, knowing she wouldn't be able to get any.

"need help?" Ethan asked.

Lily nodded helplessly, she didn't know of what help he was going to be but when he showed up being her she knew. Their bodies were completely against each other's as Ethan's hands went on hers. Butterflies crowded lily's stomach at this sudden contact and she never wanted it to end. The warmth was so comforting and she relaxed.

Ethan helped her aim and then instructed her to shoot and when she did, it hit the target perfectly. She smiled widely and Ethan removed his hands from hers and moved away, giving her a high five. Immediately he left, she felt the cold consuming her body. But she soon got used to it.

On her last attempt, she focused completely and ended up hitting the spot perfectly. She jumped in Ethan's arms and he spun her around as they laughed.

"you did it!" Ethan smiled as he put her down.

"yes!" she shouted, extremely proud of herself. The guy at the booth let her pick a prize and she took a monkey stuffing which she gave Ethan as an appreciation gift.

They headed to the ferris wheel where they ended up finding, Grayson and Stephanie still in the line. They pretended to be part of them, even though they were, and got a cut in line. Later on they all got on the ferris wheel. The view was nice, as it was now about 5:00pm the sun was beginning to set. After a while they got off and headed to take photos in the photo booth, for memories.

Not halfway into the photos, lily received a call from a person she least expected. Never in a million years would she have thought that her mother would be calling her. They hadn't spoken in years, and she wasn't planning to speak to her either, she let the Phone ring until it broke off, unsure of why she would call at such a random time.

But when she kept on spamming her with texts, she knew it was important. So she excused herself from the rest and took the call.

"sweetie, come to the Sydney hospital, your grandma just had a heart attack" she managed to hear over the sobs, and with those words, her heart stopped.
