*week later*

Lily was seated on the dining room table of her grandma's house. She'd lived here since birth basically, due to some personal reasons that she rarely shared with the public. It was a big house and had a lot of space, it would have been a lot of rent if her grandma hadn't actually bought the house to be her own.

As she sat, she was doodling in her notebook. She didn't want to go to the library today. She was tired of it. 18 years of doing that in her free time was enough. She was never extroverted so she never hang out with people during her school years and surprisingly, she made it out alive.

She got up, deciding to go for a walk. She walked to the kitchen where her grandma was preparing some lasagna.

"mmh" lily hummed as she smelt the food," smells pretty good, I'm going out though. I'll be back later" she told Carol.

"don't come too late now, we both know I don't want anything happening to you. And also, try make some friends, the library will get boring one day, trust me"

"it already has"

"I'm always right you know" Carol replied as lily left the room.

She grabbed her jacket and was out of the house. She got out of the compound they had and was on the streets of aussie. They weren't that busy but they were something. She continued walking absent mindedly, not really taking in her surroundings and soon she had bumped into a hard figure.

She looked up only to find the person she least expected. But she did ease up and relax once she realized it wasn't some random guy, it was Ethan himself.

"watch where you going" Ethan scoffed jokingly.

Lily rolled her eyes and began walking away before Ethan decided to stop her.

"I'm going to the Arcade, if you want to join me it's cool, if not then go fuck yourself"

She laughed at him, knowing that he definitely wanted her to join him. It was obvious, the look he had in his eye screamed 'please'. So she agreed without a word and began walking towards the nearest and only arcade in the neighborhood they were in with him following behind happily.

"let me guess, your brother is out with his girlfriend?" she asked.

"yeah, they came over though. We hang out and stuff but when I saw the way they were looking at Each other, I knew it was time to dip or listen to my brother and his girl banging"

Lily laughed so hard that she was sure tears were streaming down her cheeks. They soon got to the arcade, playing all sorts of games non stop. They even challenged each other on some and for the first time, lily was actually having fun with another human being that wasn't her grandma.

She was finally talking to someone and she was sure Carol would be so happy; overjoyed actually. They played more and decided to eat, as the left Ethan had won lily a blue medium sized teddy from the hook game. It took him like a million tries but he finally got it.

"that was awesome, omfg" lily spoke as they ate their fries at the McDonald's That was next to the arcade.

"agreed"

They continued to eat, getting to know each other more. Each other's favorite colors, food, places, numbers etc. By the time they were done, they knew a lot more about each other. Ethan walked her home and got to see her place, not the inside though, lily wasn't sure she wanted Ethan to meet her grandma yet.

"your house looks so sketchy I'm not even kidding, is it haunted?"

"that's what I used to think, it's so big and dull. But no, it's not, I hope" she giggled and Ethan joined her.

"bye"

She walked into her house and was back on the table, doodling again. Having nothing else to do.
