Everyone on their 14th and 16th birthday gets two tattoos on the left side of their neck that represents their soulmate ,the first one on their 14th and the second on their 16th. Some people don't have a soulmate and can be destined with anyone, but for those who do, are tied with their soulmates.
Once you figure out your soulmate and you both know who each other are, their initials will be engraved below your tattoos. Though if your soulmate dies, your tattoos turns black.
