"I told you I won," Jack yelled in excitement as he jumped up from the couch.
"Okay, okay, I was wrong," Jack's dad raised his hands in defeat, hanging his head in shame as he lost for the sixth time.
"I'm going to go get a drink," Emily said, leaving the boys to their squabbling.
"So, Emily's a lovely girl," Jack sighed as his dad nudged shoulders with him.
"Yeah, she's pretty amazing,"
Jack still couldn't believe how lucky he had been in the last year. First he started a band and made some of the best friends he could possibly wish for, and met the most beautiful amazing girlfriend he could ask for.
Right now, everything was perfect, but was it really.
