Fast, Furious, and... On the Run

[Chapter Two;; Part 1]

I kicked the unfortunate rock that happened to be in my way, as hard as possible. I watched as it went flying ahead, bouncing off a trash can, a person's shoe, and the sidewalk again, before disappearing into the drain.

"What's got your panties in a twist this morning?" A voice interrupted my angry thoughts.

"The rental." I rolled my eyes. "I snuck back in last night without a problem, yet somehow this morning as I was making breakfast, he knew. He yelled at me, gave me the usual lecture. It's just so, UGH!" I sighed, following Steve into his garage.

"Why don't you skip today, chill here and we can get your mind of things." He replied soothingly.

Steve dropped out of high school last year, decided he didn't need it. And truly, you didn't need to graduate to become a mechanic. His parents ditched him when he was twelve, and ever since that he's lived by himself.

I sighed, "I can't. He's already pissed at me, I could only imagine his face once he found out I skipped. It would be priceless... But I don't want bars on my windows." I shivered at the thought. I would NOT put that past my dad.

"Aw, iight. But spin by later. I got a surprise for you." He flashed me his pearly whites before disappearing into the back. "Well, you better go before you're late." He shouted.

"Yeah. I'll see ya later." I said as I unlocked my second car. I don't know why, but I just had a feeling I shouldn't drive my other car today. Maybe it was because I was so pissed and didn't feel like taking it out on my baby.

My second car was nice, but not as fancy as the other one. It was a lime green Lambo Gallardo Spyder.

The school was across town, about fifteen minutes if I was driving normal speed. But I wasn't in the mood and was going a little faster then I should have been.

I slowed down a few times when I saw a cop, but other then that I kept going. The feel of the wind in my hair was just what I needed.

By the time I was at that dreaded place called school, my mood had calmed down just a little.

I watched as all the heads snapped up as I pulled my car into my parking spot. While I didn't mind the attention, the wannabes were the most annoying thing ever.

With a groan I got out of the safety of my car and started heading to the main building, while ignoring everyone that was trying to talk to me.

Except when I heard a male voice say, "What happened to that car you had lastnight?"

Now, most people who street raced were in there twenties, maybe thirties, or at least the good ones. I was one of the exceptions at seventeen, almost eighteen. So you could imagine my surprise when I turned around and saw the guy that had almost beaten me last night.
