Kellin's p.o.v:

"Dad I'm home!" I yell through the house, hoping he heard me.

He should be home, he gets off work a little before school gets out so he's always home a few minutes earlier than me.

But even though he definitely could, he never picks me up from school for god knows what lousy excuse, so I'm left to take a public bus home.

The bus isn't too bad though, the bus driver at my old school was really nice and I would often talk with him until my stop, but the bus driver here seems to really hate his job and rather just ignore everyone. Which is something I'm not excited to get used to.

"I'm in the living room Kellin!" He yells back.

Walking into the barely furnished living room I take a seat next to my dad on the only couch we own at the moment.

"Hi dad."

"Hey Princess" he greets back with a smile. I hate when he calls me that, always have, even when I was younger. "How was school?"

"It was actually pretty good, surprisingly. I made friends right away, I even had lunch with them!" I happily explain, remembering the events that had taken place earlier.

"We'll I'm glad you made friends so quickly. What are their names?"

"Well I met this guy named Mike in the office and then in science class I met Vic, Jaime, and Tony and they invited me to have lunch with them and Vic's brother, which ironically enough was Mike."

"That's nice. We're having spaghetti for dinner" he says out of no where. Not listening to what I'm saying as per usual. He only cares about their names so he can ask about them from time to time and pretend that he actually cares about stuff like that.

"...okay" I mumble quietly, getting up off the couch and going to my room.

He constantly interrupts and ignores me and what I'm saying. That's why I barely talk to him, it's for his safety honestly. I get annoyed very easily and when he does shit like that I am very tempted to just fucking hit him.

I know I really shouldn't let him get to me like that, but I can't help it. I mean he is my dad and everything and I love him, I guess...I just really really hate him.

As I walk into my room I quickly jump into the faux leather chair by my desk, quickly turning on my laptop and going on Skype. I only have one person on the app so it took little to no time before I clicked the button and the ringing began.

He picked up right away grinning wildly at me. "KELLIN!" He exclaims happily.

"JUSTIN!" I mock back with just as much enthusiasm.

"I've missed you so much!"

"I've missed you too. Sorry I haven't talked to you in a while, I've been busy unpacking recently and haven't really had enough free time to do anything."

"It's totally finally dude, don't worry about it. In other news, today was the first day of school and I have a lot of things to tell you!"

"Spill the tea sis" I joke with a stupid overly high pitched white girl voice.

"What are you, James Charles?" He retorts with a smile.

"Just shut up and share dickwad"

"I can't share if you want me to shut up. So which is it Kellin, do you want me to shut up, or share?" He asks with a cocky smirk.

I swear best friends can get on your nerves the easiest.

"I want to know why I became friends with you in the first place."

I laugh at the fake hurt that crosses his face.

"Okay, well first Brendon broke up with Ryan and left him for Dallon, which is so sad for Ryan because Brendon had taken his virginity only a few days before. Then Awsten came to school with purple hair instead of blue and everyone was shook. And then Pete Wentz stopped wearing eye liner and shaved his head. He doesn't look emo anymore, it's crazy!"

"All that happened in one day?" I ask, my eyebrows raised in shock.

"Yeah!"

"The only dramatic thing that happened at school when I was there was when Josh and Tyler came out as a gay couple, but I called that months before they actually came out."

"Yeah, it was crazy man!" He exclaims with an excited smile. "Anyway, how was your first day?"

"It was great actually! I met four guys named Vic, Mike, Tony and Jaime. And holy fuck is Vic cute...so is Tony....and Jaime... and Mike, they're all cute! But Vic, aw man he's so god damn attractive! I feel like I'm gonna melt whenever I'm around him!" I explain with a dreamy look on my face, rethinking about the tanned boy.

Justin gives me an annoyed smile, simply humming in response.

"Oh come on Justin, you're still my favorite boy in the world" I tell him with a cheesy grin.

He smiles back. "It better stay that way"

"It will" I chuckle.

"It better"
