Vic's p.o.v:
I stare at Kellin for a long moment, my lips slightly parted as I think of something to respond with. "Um...it wasn't meant to be."
"Oh." The other boys face noticeable falls in disappointed at my answer.
"But, I mean...it can be?" I smile at him, hoping to cheer him up a little.
"Do...do you want it to be?" He asks hesitantly, not to mention awkwardly.
"Do you want it to be?"
"I asked you first."
"Fuck" I whisper to myself as I look away from Kellin's gaze. "Uh, yeah. I mean if that's okay with you, because if not I get it and-"
Kellin stops me with a laugh. "I would love for this to be a date."
"Really?" I ask sheepishly as I look back up at him.
"Of course...I...I like you, Vic." He blushes slightly, almost unnoticeable from the different colored lights shining on his face. But if you stare as Kellin's face the way I do, you'd be able to notice just about anything.
"That's pretty gay man." I reply sarcastically.
I don't know why I said it, the answer was pretty dumb. But too be fair I've never really been good at talking to people, nor have I ever had a guy that I've liked say that he likes me back, so I'm internally freaking out right now and I feel like the best way to cover that up is with sarcasm. It's all I've got.
"I swear to god I will push you in the pond where golf balls go to die." The taller boy retorts with an amused look on his face.
"Is that a threat or a promise big boy?" I asks as I wiggle my eyebrows at him.
"Don't think I won't" he warns.
"Try me no balls!"
He rolls his eyes at the insult as he lets go of my hand that I forgot he was holding and wish that he would hold again. His hands are so soft. It's like holding a babies hand, not that Kellin has tiny hands or anything it's just that- you know what, nevermind.
I can't even think about Kellin without my mind being scrambled. This is ridiculous!
Giving him a shocked look he just laughs. "I'm not going to push you in, calm down" he pauses. "Oh wait..yes I am!" He swiftly puts his hands on my back and pushes me into the very cold water.
"FUCK IT'S SO COLD!"
"That's what you get for calling me no balls."
"I regret it so much, oh my god!" I wine.
"I would help you get out, but I don't trust that you're not going to pull me in with you."
"Fair enough." I nod.
I laugh at myself as I hesitantly get out of the water, my soaked clothes reminding me of the day at the mall when Kellin met Jack and Alex for the first time. That was a fun day. Jaime called the girl he met at the food court and as surprising as it sounds, she didn't give him a fake number. They have a date next Friday.
"Shit! I'm gonna get my car seat all wet!" I groan as I look down at my completely soaked jeans. My shirt wasn't that bad, only a little under half of it got wet so i'm not really worried about it.
"Just take off your pants." The taller boy shrugs absent mindlessly.
"Woah, I don't have sex on the first date Kellin." I quickly joke, sarcasm practically dripping off my words like the water dripping off my blue jeans.
