CHAPTER TWENTY TWO

“Billie White, will you please, repeat what you’ve just said?!” Courtney yelled down the phone, and I smirked.

“Roman and I kissed,” I said and a piercing squeal, echoed in my ear. I held my phone away from my ear slightly, whilst Courtney recovered from her hysterical fit.

“Billie, this is incredible! You have now lost all innocence!” I lay on my bed, and put my phone on speaker.

“Courtney, it was a kiss. We didn’t even make out,” I said bored, and looked up at the ceiling. “We’ll probably make out in a year, or something like that.”

“It won’t take that long.”

“It probably will.”

No, it won’t because if it does, then I’ll have to force you to kiss him, or just kill you.”

“Thanks, I feel really safe now. Not pressured at all.” Courtney let out a series of snorts and malicious giggles, whilst I rolled my eyes as she laughed at my sarcasm. “I hope you don’t actually find that funny, Courtney,” I added, and she went into hysterics again. “I know right,” I mumbled over her snorts. “I’m totes the hilar queen.” I could sense Courtney rolling her eyes now, since he laughs were cut short. As if someone had turned off her “laugh switch.” It was that abrupt.

“Billie, please don’t say that? It’s not in your personality, to use speech from the Internet,” Courtney said flatly, and I sucked in my cheeks.

“Fine. What do you think I should wear, today though?”

“What do you mean, White?” She said and I sighed.

“He’s coming round, and I don’t know when. He never said, so I have to be prepared,” I explained and Courtney went into a series of mutters and mumbles.

“Well you know, it’s going to be quite hard, since I’m not with you.”

“It doesn’t matter Court,” I said and got up. I quickly made my way over to my closet, and opened it up. “Hit me.”

“A dress. A dress always shows off sex appeal and classiness simultaneously. It will do all the talking, so a dress.”

“What colors?” I said, and started to eye my dresses which hung on the rack.

“Do you want to be clean, or dirty?”

“Clean.”

“White.” I pulled out one of my many white summer dresses, and threw it on my bed.

“I’ve got the dress, what about the makeup and shoes?”

“Black ankle boots, and a minimalistic please,” she sang and I chuckled, as I dug around for my boots. Once I’d found them, I carried on the conversation with Courtney, whilst I scurried round and got ready for a wash.

“Okay Court, I’ve gotta go and get ready,” I said and picked up my phone, from my bed.

“Alright, but you have to tell me everything, you know. We have to meet up again.”

“Yes, we do, Court,” I said and she chuckled.

“Bye, bye, Billie White,” she said then hung up. Smiling fondly at the phone, I placed it back down on my bed, grabbed my things and then rushed into the bathroom. Closing the door, I stripped down to nothing and jumped into the shower. I’d already eaten and cleaned my teeth, and since I knew I was going to be going out, I’d decided to wake up early and walk Jessie. My mom was taking her out again though, since apparently my twenty minute walk in the morning, wasn’t enough. I felt though, that Jessie was pretty tired after that walk. Her tongue was lolling, but obviously that isn’t an indication of tiredness to my mom.
