Chapter 31- Tell me about him

Oasis was due to play in France, Liam decided to make a vacation out of it since the band was only due for 2 days at this festival but Liam and I ended up there a little over a week before the festival began. I dreaded Noel coming because he was bringing Meg along, it wasn't that I didn't like her but something inside me made it hard too be friends with her, I really needed to get the fuck over him it was beginning to piss me off that I couldn't get him out of my head.
The week went by quickly now it was the day that the whole band of guys arrived, including Noel and Meg who were the first ones to arrive and Liam thought it would be the greatest idea if we shared a room with them I hesitated at first but Liam insisted we did so I say whatever. A knock came at the door so Liam jumped up to grab it and there they were "Hello Ivy Daniels" Noel calls "Hello Noel Gallagher" I reply sighing getting up off the sofa where Liam and I were sat, Meg smiles pulling me in for a hug which shocked me at first but I just went with it "how was the flight?" Liam asks "fucking long mate, but happy to be here aren't we Meg?" Noel says "Yes, it's lovely here how was your guys' week?" She says to me "oh so romantic, it's the city of love after all" I reply pulling Liam toward me. Noel rolls his eyes at me well knowing what I was doing then he stares out the window, "Ivy we should go down to the bar for a few drinks!" Meg suggests "We need to get to know eachother a bit better" I mean we could but I didn't know how long her relationship with Noel was going to last, I didn't want to get to close with her. For Liam and Noel's sake though I agreed to hangout with her, they had to go into some meetings anyway so in the end it was something to do. Meg and I went down to the hotel bar and talked for awhile, she was actually really sweet and began growing on me we also had a lot in common; Our conversation went quiet for a minute, "Can I ask you something, Ivy?" Meg says "Yeah, should I be scared?" I giggle "Oh no! I just want to know more about Noel" she says, that took me back a bit. Noel was a very private person when it came to anything, it was different with me because I grew up with them so I pretty much knew everything that went on during their childhood and their father. "Well, what do you know?" I ask her "Not much, he won't tell me anything has he always been like that?" she says, I pause for a minute and giggle "Yeah, he's the quiet one out of those boys," I explain "For awhile he never spoke to me that was just who he was a very distant and stern guy, plus he was 7 years older than me so it was a bit of a given" Meg was now listening intently to what I was saying to her about Noel, I dunno if I really should be spilling this to her but it was maybe the only way she'd really know who he was. "Eventually when I came around more often since Liam and I were always so close, Noel began hanging 'round us and we got close" I say "Wow, did he ever tell you why he was so distant?" Meg asks, I sighed taking another swig of my drink "Yeah, it was because they come from an abusive home, their dad was a complete dickhead and Noel was the one who got it most" I say, Meg widens her eyes placing her hand to her mouth in shock "I never knew, I feel terrible" she says "Don't, as long as you keep him happy that's all that matters," I explain "They don't speak to or about their dad so it isn't a big thing but I just know Noel is the most grumpiest one out of the 3 of them so, good luck" I giggle. We sat for awhile longer talking about Noel, I hope she could make him happy if I never could.
