I

Where am I? I wonder where I am and surprisingly, I still have my diary with me. I do not see any person that I may talk to or tell me where I am. I am lost. Completely lost.

I dropped my pen and as I pick it up, my clothes changed. A swift of wind changed my clothing from my school uniform to a white dress that is twice my size. I do not know how it happened but my shoes were gone and I am barefooted.

The cool breeze blows my wavy hair as I try to find where can the breeze come from. I started walking to where my feet leads me. Nowhere to go but forward. I started to swing my head left and right to see if something or someone may help me know where I am. But there was none. I walked and walked. I am not yet tired. But I feel strange. I should feel tired right now. It feels like I know I am tired, my mind agrees but my body does not feel anything. I feel fine.

Suddenly, after a long walk, my foot bumped on something hard. Ouch! That hurts, in my mind. But again, I did not feel anything. Something is weird here. I quickly directed my attention to what was that. Oh! It was steel. To my surprise, I stepped on another steel, only to find out that I am climbing up the staircase. As I gaze up, I see nothing but clouds. It is like there is something hidden behind those clouds. Or maybe just a neverending staircase. Or maybe a dead end only to let me fall and go back again to where I started.

Thinking of those imagination to where this may lead me, I got scared. What if that will lead me to a dead end? Or will tire me in a never ending climb? Or maybe a monster that is waiting for me to eat me? Or maybe, just maybe, something good I never expect? Anyway, I need answers.

When I am afraid and anxious, there is only one thing I do. I pray.

At my first words of "God, this is me, Janice. Help me at this time.", a light striked through the clouds and down to the staircase I am in. It was so bright that I had to cover my face with my red brown hair. That white light made me fall to my knees because of the powerful radiance I cannot even take. "Oh, Lord, help me!" I repeated.

"Janice." a voice lifted suddenly, but I do not know where it came from. It seems coming from all directions. Where is that from? Who is it?

"Who are you?" I asked, a bit shaking because I can hear that he has a very powerful voice.

"I am." the voice replied as I had a sudden vision of a man in front of a burning bush. That same voice. That same words. At that instant, I knew, it was God.
