After thinking of all the possibilities, I suddenly thought of Michael's reminder. What he is saying sounds suspicious. I tried to get in a little debate with him. "How can you say that?" I asked him. "You don't even know my parents and even Mr. and Mrs. Kelly and you accuse such things like that?"

"I may not know them but that is what I saw. I'm just telling you what I saw and heard." He replied without a second thought.

"Maybe that's in the past but they are all good now. I know mom and dad are fine. And Mr. Kelly, I know him and I know he is good." I answered confidently.

"How is it easy for you to be deceived, kid?" He asked.

This may be a trial question. I really do not know what to answer. But God saved me as He confidently spoke for me.

"A child of God won't be deceived that easily." I said to him. "My mom and Mr. Kelly had a misunderstanding and I can see that they don't love each other like what you are pointing out."

"If you are really God's child and you have a godly family, why did your mom and Oliver had a fight, no, a misunderstanding you say?" He questioned my credibility. "You said, don't love each other?"

"It was a misunderstanding." I defended my answer.

"Yes, but misunderstandings can ruin families. It can break relationships." He defended his as well.

I stopped for a moment. I silently prayed God for provision.

A thought came to my mind. "God, pick up the pieces. Put me back together again. You are my praise!" -Jeremiah 17:14

Before I even speak, he spoke ahead of me.

"You know what happened there? Why your mom is angry at him?" He confidently asked me to want to know the answer.

Deep inside I wanted to know what he is up to. So I said, go ahead.

"Your dad stole a huge amount of money from Oliver. He invested in an interesting exhibit project, like what your dad said, and your dad in the office took away the money. Now the company was looking for it but they found nothing. Your mom, of course, wanted to be a good wife and prove her innocence. So, she defended your dad against Oliver. The same man whom she loved back then."

I stopped thinking for a moment. "I still can't believe you."

"Okay, so you want something really believable, huh?" He dared to ask me.

I was challenged in a way that I want to see if he could convince me.

"Joseph, your dad and Oliver, your supposed to be dad are brothers. What about that?" He scoffed.

"I know that they are brothers." I answered. "Except for one thing. Oliver Kelly is not my supposed to be dad. Even I believed your lie that mom and Mr. Kelly had an affair, it won't change the fact that Mr. Kelly doesn't want to have kids."

Okay. I'm not really sure if he doesn't want to have kids for the rest of his life or he is just waiting for a perfect time. But I had to give a powerful answer in this mind-boggling debate.

"Good for you. Now, you know how butt in a good attack." He laughed.

"How about the fact that your grandmother hid Oliver to elder parents because her husband won't accept him if she had a child?" He continued to throw questions at me.

Was it grandma giving baby Ooi to Pops and Mum? Was it grandpa he is talking about?

"Funny, your grandpa is not even a good father to your dad that is why Joseph is not a good daddy to you." He exclaimed.

If I have a cork I would put that in his mouth to stop the talking.

"Am I right, Janice? He left you." He said.

"For a good reason." I said.

"Good reason? You know why? He left you to escape his sin of theft from the police. He left your mom because of her affair with the other man. He left you because he is ashamed that his daughter studies in a disability school that she should be in. That's not a good reason if you ask me, Janice." He continued to try to crush me.

"You're right even if I don't ask you, you know that he did that to me." I admit I was hurt when he said that but I know better.

"Now how can you forgive your dad? After all these that had happened to you? You kept on finding him but what did he do?" He asked me again. I just watched him as he tried to prove a point.

"Because of him, you are here now, without anyone in your family to look after you. Wihtout anyone to be with you. Without anyone to save you. But I can be your friend, yes! A friend who would send you to your beloved family if you will surrender and bow to me." He said with a calm voice.

A bright light from the shield reflected in my face. I scrunched my face for a second and I saw my reflection on the sword.

It was like a mirror. My face was reflected in the sword.

Suddenly, God gave me a sparkling idea. If I could see my true self in the reflection on the steel sword, could I see the true angel behind what's in front of me now? I kept quiet and quickly twisted the steel sword to reveal the reflection.

"Wait! I know you! You are the devil! The accuser! The thief! The liar! The destroyer!" I exclaimed to him as I see him transform to a giant serpent. "You are the snake feom the beginning and now, you still be one?"

"Bow to me!!! Hissssssss!" He hissed.

"I know he may have done something in the past but I forgive him. Like God who washes away all the sins of the Earth when His Son came down to the cross and defeated death!" As I speak, a bright light shines from above and it reflected in my shield and a fire came down from above burning my sword.

I raised the sword and asked for God's strength as I ran and jumped right across a large rock in front of me which launched me to a higher jump as I declare,

"Jesus said, "It is finished!""

The fiery sword slashed the giant serpent in two longitudinally. I landed safely on the ground with the feeling of burning in my body. I was fired up and I know that it wasn't me that saved myself but it was God, who was with me all along, through His Son Jesus who defended me from the enemy's evil schemes.

"Did you already forget where I delivered you from?" The voice gets louder and louder. I realized Jesus was walking to me.

"I'm sorry if I doubted you again, Lord." I bowed my head and knelt down in full submission.

"Jump!" He said.

"What?" I lifted my head up and woah! I was standing in the peak of the mountain.

I am already here. I did it! No! We did it, Lord. I'm at the peak of the mountain!!

I am so delighted, so satisfied that I finished it!

"You are not finished yet." The Lord spoke to me.

I looked above, wondering what does He mean?

"Do you trust me?" Jesus asked.

"Yes, Lord Jesus." I answered. "I trust You."

"Jump." He commanded.

Every possibility of what would happen next bothers my head, but I am assured.

"Now faith is the confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see." - Hebrews 11:1

So, I jumped.
