Chap-8: A Smoothie Of Clubbed Up Mysteries

Melody was sitting at the library with bundle of books stacked up in front of her.
'No' , she cries in desperation as she turns the pages of an old leather book placed before her. Boredom was creeping into her mind yet she was not alone.

She had already troubled her friends to accompany her here. Which is the result the two frowning faces who are now sitting beside her glancing the other books of the school's library.

Melody's point of view

"The Yomus are the mutated humans who are consumed by the evil thoughts of the world thus transforming them into malicious monsters."

'No...' I groan as I flip another page.

"The purity pills are thus used as a vaccines to prevent these impure thoughts from corrupting the human lives."

'No,' I filp again, a little more faster.

"The Senshis are the specialized government whose job is to subdue the untamable Yomus which becomes a great menace for the entire locality. They are treated as the guardians of the entire Lambia."

'No, and no. 'I cried abruptly lying on the desk and banging my head on it.

'I need answers!!' I finally exclaim rubbing my hurt forehead.

'On what? 'Crystal asks not minding to look at me probably pretending to be so into the book.

' On how to cure the Youmus not simply preventing their mutation by purity pills..' I said touching a pen on my mouth and sitting it on my ear.( I know, I am disgusting)

I had bunked my biology class for especially this purpose.

Ok, that was a lie. Not just this purpose. It's because Mr Diggs and I share a mutual hate within ourselves since the day I had 'accidentally' freed a frog from the laboratory to make it experience the free wings of freedom. But unfortunately, it probably found Mr Diggs's afro hair far too inviting and landed itself in his head making him hop around the classroom completely freaked out bumping into all the specimens messing the entire room.

Yup,i am proud to say that I single-handedly destroyed the entire class that day because of my notable 'kind heart'. (But.., Urrgh it was so nasty..)

He had me expelled for the entire 2 days and made Ms Rosalla, my aunt to apologize for all the mischiefs I had done.

'Your break starts in 5 minutes dears' I hear Mrs Nana, our librarian yell.

'Ok, Ms Nana' we echo in a chorus.

And so here I was trying to find answers for the 'neverending series of mysteries'.

Why are there no cures mentioned in the book? What happens to the imprisoned Youmus?Are they killed even though everyone knows that they were humans once?

And at last, What really is that Melody that strikes through the heart of the untamed Youmu that day?

'Melody, I am so proud of you.'said Sunny.

' Wow..Sunny, thanks' I said kinda impressed that Sunny actually appreciates me even after what I had done when Yuri was Youmu_fied.

'But, for what?' I asked.

'For being such a pointless friend'. She mumbled slouching as she rolled a pencil on the desk.

Of course she doesn't. She never does. Otherwise, she would have readily accepted to accompany me in my special research. Basic Logic!
