I'm sitting on the floor and all around me is darkness. There is nothing and no one.
I feel....lonely
The feeling isn't pleasant but I can go through it. I just continue to sit and sit. Nothing changes, it's all still darkness.
And I wait
And wait
And wait
And finally, I see a light.
A feeling overwhelms me. I feel....happy.
But then, the light disappears and I'm left with emptiness and disappointment. I continue back to just waiting but then eventually, the light appeared again.
And this was how life was.
When the light came, I would feel happy and when it was gone, I could only wait for it to come back.
And this continued.
Until....one day, when the light came, it was dim compared to usual. But no matter what, I was still happy to see it. Finally, it disappeared again and I knew it will eventually come back but my chest hurt for some reason.
I didn't give much of a care as I continued waiting.
And waiting.
And waiting.
But it never came back. I just thought that it was just taking its time so I wait more.
And more.
And more.
Finally, it struck to me.
The light was never coming back.
But what about me? The feeling of happiness...was that never coming back?
I was scared. It was scary. Being alone. I was never aware of how terrible it was to be alone before.
But now....after experiencing what it felt like to have happiness....everything hurts even though it never did before.
Why....
Why me....
