DANE LOWERED HER phone as she went through the multiple photos she took. Her gram was mostly filled with selfies or mirror pics so she had to get the right one. Majority of the time she covered her face, only allowing the bridge of her nose and her low lidded eyes to be present. Everything else in the photo that needed to be shown besides her was mainly the fit and the background, which she succeeded at doing. Sighing Dane cancelled out a handful of photos, cursing the shutter speed before taking three more at different angles then finding the one to post.

The door creaked open, revealing Dane's cousin Charmaine striding in; in all of her confident glory. Even with a thick boot on her left foot, Charmaine strutted in with one six inch heel on the other. She looked gorgeous, dressed in her wine silk dress that showed off her curvaceous figure. Her dark hair had waves going through it, appearing bouncy while also shiny.

Charmaine entered, on her phone laughing at something before she looked up meeting Dane's stare. "Oh, hey sis."

"Hey." Dane answered, briefly looking down at her phone to press the post button. She then turned, resting her backside against the counter as Charmaine moved around to stand before her.

Charmaine smiled, "I was wondering where you went. Your mom's gone complete Godzilla, as if she hasn't done this with uncle Darnell before."

"So she's snappt?" Dane asked, receiving a quick nod from Charmaine, "then I left right on time then." Making the two girls share a laugh.

Charmaine exhaled after their laughter, "I think it's beautiful...I know that's like the most cliché way to describe something nowadays. But I really admire the kind of love auntie Shawna and uncle Darnell have. I want that for myself and I also want that for my mom someday."

"You'll both get it," Dane had a soft smile on her lips, knowing how much people always spoke so highly of her parents' relationship, "when you don't look for it, that's when you'll get it."

Charmaine hummed at that taking that all in, "that's a great way to look at it. Is that why we haven't heard anything about you falling in love again?" The older girl asked.

"I'm just not ready to fall into something like that again, not right now." Dane replied, "And plus I have my whole life to experience that kind of love. I mean, I am only nineteen."

Charmaine ran her fingers over her bangs checking over her appearance, "that's true but you never know right? Just like with Kyle, you never thought you'd lose him like that but life just happens to people in the most screwed up way and it sucks. Which is why, I believe it's time for you. It's been what?"

"A year."

Charmaine placed her hand on her chest, "oh my poor baby cousin."

"Char," Dane narrowed her eyes, "we're a year apart. Stop it. Plus I don't know why everyone is trying so hard to push this on me, even my dad is and it's weird. 'Cause my mom was the main one in the beginning trying to get me to date and once I brought Kyle around, my dad was all protective threatening to set him on fire and get away with it if Kyle hurt me. Now things are different, and my mom wants me to take my time. Which is what I want anyways."
