HERE's WHATDANE knew about Nils... • he was originally born and raised in Seattle on what he liked to call "the Rez" and usually goes back to visit on holidays or whenever he felt homesick. • he has two sisters, Nadie and Numees. Numees was the eldest, leaving him as the middle child. • his father works as a stunt double and encouraged Nils to take up Karate later leading up to martial arts which Nils enjoyed more. • him and his father came out to Beverly Hills permanently when Nils turned 18. • he wants to be an actor. • he's 22, drives a aqua pickup truck — A 1972 CHeVy c10 tO bE ExaCT and is currently building his own motorcycle. • listens to bands like the strokes, The kinks, the velvet underground, Alice cooper, Alabama shakes, vampire weekend, Guns 'N Roses, Aerosmith — you get it • AND he bought Atticus, his Saarloos wolfhound with him to this date because he figured Atticus deserved a night out too. Did Dane mind? Of course not, she was a dog person and Atticus seemed to like her.
Dane sat comfortably beside Nils in his pickup truck, Atticus stretched out on both of them - his long body taking up majority of the space in the truck but that was fine. Nils decided that their first date would be a drive in theater, which was in the outskirts of California. A sketchy looking town that Dane couldn't pronounce but once the movie got started she left any worries that she might have had behind. She was all for letting things go and picking the time to just live! At first Dane thought this would be some black and white film or a silent film but thankfully it was the dark tower instead.
Nils was currently chewing on a twizzler that made Dane scrunch up her nose as she side-eyed him from time to time. "Excuse me, Captain Smack. You're gonna have to turn it down a notch, Atticus and I can't hear a thing."
"Huh?" Nils blinked turning to his right to meet Dane's eyes, "I'm sorry, do you want some?"
"To chew on candy that tastes like melted plastic? No thanks." Dane replied, she picked up a box of sno-caps waving them in Nils face, "these my friend, are better than your twizzlers."
Nils shifted his body to eye the box that Dane began to pop open, "You're aware that the candy looks specifically like bacteria, that you can see underneath a microscope?"
"Good as heck, I don't care." Dane popped her lips which Nils laughed at with a shake of his head.
Nils and Dane both turned to face the screen as some action occurred between the two opposing characters, Roland and Randall. "Wait...why are they even fighting?"
"Haven't you read the book?" Nils quizzed, glancing over at Dane who scratched at her hair.
"Not really."
Nils groaned resting his hands in his face, "so the child is able to experience visions where he sees a man in black who seeks to destroy a Tower and bring ruin to the Universe while a Gunslinger is against him. The goal is for the gunslinger to prevent the man in Black from toppling the dark tower with the help of the little guy so that the universe doesn't fall apart."
