DEAR JOURNAL,
"the dance is coming up."
i looked up from my textbook to see chie smirking at me.
"yeah, so?"
my friend rolled her eyes and gave me a playful smack on the arm. "what do you mean, so what? this could be the greatest night of your life, hiro!"
i pretty much knew what she was implying at, but i decided to play dumb anyway.
"what're you talking about?"
"ulaz, silly."
"not like i'm gonna ask him or something." i flipped the page of the textbook. "or vice versa."
"you never know," chie winked. "and don't forget, gray. maybe this night will be the big reveal."
"i can only wish."
to be honest, i wasn't exactly too hopeful on that. the whole gray thing could still be a prank, as much as i got attached to the letters, as much as i don't want to admit it.
but still, i would be lying if i said i wasn't picturing the scene where gray and i do end up dancing together. wearing suits. moving in awkward, yet intimate movements. maybe there's a kiss at the end.
...and the face i put to gray is ulaz. but i could only hope.
that would be far-fetched and too good to be true.
LOVE, HIRO.
