I let out a big sigh and took my headphones out of my ears.

That's the song that granny used to always sing to me as a lullaby. All that I can do now is listen to a recording of it saved on my phone.

I always need to hear granny's song before I go out. It helps me prepare for what's to come.

I put on my pink clean uniform and clipped granny's green bow into my hair. Once I checked that it was clipped on tightly, I grabbed my bag, walked out of the house, and shut my door.

I'll just buy breakfast today at school since there's none at home.

As I was walking out, I glanced at the apartment next to mine. Again...no Robin. Where did that girl go?

Oh well, it's not any of my business. I shrugged my shoulders and picked up my pace to walk faster toward the school.

I was expecting to hear some snickers and to receive some crude looks once I entered the school, yet I didn't get any.

I only found Megumi standing by my locker waiting for someone, probably me.

"Hey Megu-"

"Shhh! Be quiet!" Megumi clasped my mouth shut with her hand so that I couldn't speak and pulled me behind a locker to hide.

I pulled Megumi's hand away from my mouth and opened my mouth to say something, but she slapped her hand onto my mouth again.

I glared at her and she just smiled a bit. I tried to tell her that I would whisper with some horribly-done hand signals, yet she somehow understood me.

She nodded and removed her hand from my face slowly. I gasped for air afterwards.

"Are you trying to kill me?" I whispered to her, ticked off.

"Look I can explain later, we just gotta stay low for now." Megumi whispered and peeked from behind the locker to look at something.

"Ugh, you do realize that we look like idiots hiding like this?" I whisper-asked her and rubbed my hurting temples.

"It's okay, no one can see us. Just do this for me alright?" Megumi turned around and gave me a bright smile.

"Okay, fine-"

Megumi jumped up suddenly and set her hand over my mouth again. I gave her a puzzled look and she just showed me the hand signal to be quiet.

"Keep an eye on the hallway now, the new king and queen of the school will pass by." Megumi whispered to me and stared at the now empty corridor.

I removed Megumi's hand again from my mouth and turned around to look at the corridor. There I saw the new kid Jungkook and Mako walking together arm in arm...wait Mako?!

"What the fuck!" I yelled out by accident. I gasped and put my hands over my mouth.

Megumi's eyes widened and she pulled me into a classroom that just conveniently happened to be empty and nearby.

Jungkook, Mako, and everyone turned around to the direction that the sound had come from, yet no one saw us slip away.

After entering the classroom, both Megumi and I started gasping for air.

"What was that for Mi-ne?" Megumi asked me slightly irritated.

"Sorry, it just kind of slipped out. Now why were those together?" I asked her apologetically.
