I opened my eyes groggily and turned off my phone alarm with a swipe of my finger.

"Ugh, finally you shut that thing off. I'm going back to my dream world, bye." Megumi said and turned around in her bed.

I rubbed my eyes and got up from bed, I dragged Megumi's blanket off of her and she screamed.

I chuckled a bit at her and walked into the bathroom to do my morning routine.

/////////////////////////

After 40 minutes or so, Megumi and I were both finally ready to go... except we were already extremely late. I had set up my alarm 20 minutes before the meetup time in the lobby.

What I didn't know is that Megumi would take fricking 40 minutes to get ready. I was ready in 10 minutes, but it seems as though Megumi likes to take her sweet time.

"Hurry up, Megu!" I said as I was running through the hotel's hallways with a slow, out-of-breath, Megumi jogging behind me.

"Wait...up...Mi-ne!" Megumi said, or tried to, as she ran as fast as she could.

We eventually arrived at the hotel's lobby and we found a mad Mr. Jones staring back at us.

"Gosh, you two are always late! The others already left, we'll be taking a cab to the skiing resort." Mr. Jones said and left the lobby to hail a cab.

I glanced at Megumi and saw her struggling to breathe.

"You seem pretty out of shape." I said bluntly.

"I...I have a-asthma." Megumi whispered and tried to catch her breath.

I frowned and helped her by putting an arm around her shoulders and hoisting her up.

She smiled at me weakly and we walked together to the cab that Mr. Jones was already sitting in.

What a great teacher...

"Um, Mr. Jones?" I asked him as I settled in my seat.

"Yes?" Mr. Jones replied.

"Won't we be having any breakfast?" I stared restlessly out of the moving car's window and held onto my growling stomach.

"Oh my god, I'm starving! Please tell me that we will." Megumi said and squirmed in her seat.

"Well you two were late and so, you missed breakfast." Mr. Jones said and kept looking at the road in front of him.

"You really expect me to believe that all of the class, even Yamato the slowest eater out of us all, finished their breakfast in 20 minutes?" Megumi yelled out frustratedly.

"Megu..." I whispered to her and showed her an "X" sign with my arms when she turned around to look at me. I was trying to tell her to stop whining to Mr. Jones, for he was starting to get annoyed.

"What!" She said and puffed out her cheeks.

"We knew that they all wouldn't finish, that's why the breakfast was served in the bus on the way." Mr. Jones said snobbily.

"Well then, where's our breakfast?" I asked quietly.

"It's at the resort, I sent it there to be kept warm since I didn't know what time you would arrive. You can eat once you're there." Mr. Jones muttered out.

"Okay..." Megu and I both said at the same time.

The trip to the skiing resort lasted about 30 minutes, if it wasn't morning and if the streets weren't this empty...it might've taken us up to two hours.

The car curved and stopped in front of the resort.

"Ugh finally...food!" Megumi dragged herself out of the car and stumbled towards the entrance dramatically.

I chuckled at her and got out myself.

I saw Reo waiting for us at the entrance. He was staring at his phone screen, but at the same tapping his foot on the ground impatiently.

"Finally! What took you two so long?" Reo asked, a bit upset. I pointed at Megumi and she just smiled goofily.

"I should've known." Reo said and shook his head in disappointment.

We all laughed afterwards and started heading inside for Megumi and I to get our meals.

On the way in, someone bumped into me though.

"O-oh sorry miss!" A middle-aged man said quickly and hid his face.

"It's alright-" I didn't even get to finish my sentence before the man just suddenly speed-walked away.

"Suspicious much? Oh well, let's keep moving!" Megumi said dragged me with Reo to the cafeteria area at the resort.

Someone's POV:

"Hm? What's this?" I looked down at my feet and saw a big phone with a green case on it, just laying on the ground.

"Someone must've dropped this." I opened the phone and saw a picture of a little girl and an old woman, perhaps the little girl's grandmother?

"Wait... that girl looks really familiar! Why do I feel like I've seen her before?" I rubbed my head in hopes of remembering something, but nothing came up.

"Well, I need to look for this phone's owner anyway. They can't be too far away." I grabbed the phone, put it into my pocket and walked inside the resort.
