I walked out of the Nurse's Office and looked around in the hallway, it's very empty and so quiet. It's actually kind of creepy. But it's always like that when everyone is in class.

Oh well, I have the right to leave and so I will. Actually, it's great that I'm getting out early today because I have to go to work.

Normally, I'd have to run right away after school to work just to make it on time but since I still have some time...I won't need to rush.

I grabbed my bag and walked out of the school. This actually feels kind of fun, I feel special. Everyone's stuck here studying and learning while I get to go before everyone else.

I kept walking until I reached my work place, a gift shop. I don't mind working there at all because my co-workers are very kind to me even though I barely talk to them. Also, the environment is very calm and clean. The job is perfect in my opinion.

I stepped inside the shop and said "hello" to my two co-workers, Hinata and Yamato.

Hinata is a 25 year old university student studying philosophy. She seems to have an odd obsession with me and always calls me "adorable" just because I'm a few years younger than her. I don't mind though...well I do just a bit.

Yamato on the other hand is closer to my age, he is 20 years old and is a college student. He barely comes to work but when he does though, we tend to get more customers for some reason.

Hinata likes to call him the "female customer magnet" and claims that he attracts more female customers because of his "good looks".

I personally don't know how accurate that statement is.

"Hey Mi-ne, how come you're here early today?" Yamato asked me a bit surprised.

"Yeah, we're always used to waiting till you come and covering for you if you were a bit late. Did something happen at school?" Hinata walked over to me, put her arm around my shoulders and turned to face me.

"No no, I just got out early today that's all." I said calmly. I wouldn't want them to suspect anything, and anyway it's not like they need to know what actually happened.

"Well alright, if you say so. But we did miss you, you little adorable thing!" Hinata said and gave me a deathly hug. She almost squeezed me to death.

"Don't call me that!" I yelled and tried to get away from her.

"You two are so cute together!" Yamato sighed and smiled afterwards.

"We're not!" "I know right!" Hinata and I said at the same time. I turned around to glare at her and she turned around to smile at me.

*ring*

That's the store's bell, when that bell rings it means that a new customer has stepped into the store.

We all straightened up and I ran over to the cashier.

Hinata and Yamato help people choose which kind of gift to buy based on what they like or what the person they're buying for likes and I work at the cashier.

The customer that entered looked like a young man, maybe a 27 year old or something. He wore an odd big black jacket with a picture of a lion in the back.

The first thing that he did, which struck me as very odd, was look at Yamato, Hinata and I very carefully. Almost as if he was scanning us.

Eventually he stopped staring at Yamato and Megumi and started staring at only me.

It was kind of scary, Hinata noticed right away, being the oldest out of all of us, and tried to distract the man by showing him something in the store.
