Trish's P.O.V

7 years ago, I became an amputee. Let's start at the beginning of January 13th. It was a cold Monday afternoon in North Dakota. I woke up to my alarm at 12:00 in the afternoon, walked downstairs and had breakfast. I ate bacon, eggs, and pancakes and drank some orange juice. My dog, Luci, was sitting at my feet, staring at me. I knew she wanted food. I didn't give her any, she had dog food in her bowl. I glanced around my kitchen, my mother, Martha, was feeding my brother, Zach, and my father, Tom, was feeding the twins, Kevin and Kylie. My mom said we had 35 more minutes before leaving for the airport. I walked upstairs and glanced around my room, looking for anything I had missed. I spotted it. It was a picture of me and my best friend, Charlotte. I put it in my suitcase, just as I heard my mom call, "Trish, it's time to go!" I walked downstairs with my two suitcases and my backpack. I walked out the front door and hopped in the Uber XL, and we headed to the airport. We got out and my parents headed to the gate with the kids, leaving me to deal with the luggage. I ran to the gate and gave my ticket to the lady and rushed quickly to catch up with my family. But the thing is, we rented a plane, a big plane. So, I hopped on to the empty plane and found a seat. I sat at the back, and my mom and dad sat up in the middle, they sat across from each other, aisle seats. The kids were right across from me. I pulled out my iPod, plugged in my earbuds, and turned on my music. Everything was fine until about 2:35. Then, everything was not okay. I heard a screeching sound and took my earbuds out of my ears. I looked out of my window, and my eyes caught the pilot being sucked out of his window. "Oh my goodness gracious" someone screamed. I think it was me. I saw my parents get up, I think they were coming to get me and the kids, as they stood up, the plane suddenly went down at an angle. My parents rolled down the aisle and smacked right into the pilots' seat. They didn't make it. Once I thought it was safe to get up, I got all three kids and headed out of the back door, I sat them down, told them not to go anywhere and grabbed two suitcases before I started to smell smoke. I got the bags, and the kids, and we ran. We ran far. Once I thought it was safe, I told the kids that Mommy and Daddy weren't coming back. They cried, I cried. But before you knew it, it was nighttime.

A/N: I know the first chapter is very short, but I just wanted to post this.
