. . .
My wife is a bizarre woman and it's one reason why I chose a human instead of my kind. She's interesting as a person, although mostly dense at times. She asked me for marriage, but not a kiss.
That's already the beginning of an adventurous life ... I told myself.
Did I forgot to mention that MinYoung sits by the balcony and often stares at the scenery in silence?
I didn't understand the purpose of sitting in one spot. She found it more comfortable to sit out in the freezing cold, not that I have any problems with the weather. As a normal human being, one should layer themselves with two sweaters at the least. She only wore a hoodie.
"SeokJinnie, sit with me!"
"Are you asking the royal Highness to sit there? And it's Your Highness, not SeokJinnie."
"Highness, my foot. You definitely went roleplaying after work, didn't you?"
Sitting by the balcony looked boring at first, but then the answer dawned upon me. It was right there in front of me the whole time. I was too busy looking forward to find out the reason when the answer has been with me the whole time.
My housewife suffered a lot in the past.
Her parents died early from a disease, in which I learnt it to be as leukemia. I never got to see them face-to-face, but I saw through her memories.
She really had a rough time studying for her future and working part time jobs to sustain a single room. She had friends to support her and her generous heart accepted the good and bad in life.
Words aren't enough to narrate her life. Memories aren't enough as well.
She locked emotions that were akin to weakness and vulnerability. She hid whatever was bothering her and showed the world how optimistic and happy she is. MinYoung has several emotional masks underlying her true face.
My housewife can lie to anyone, but she definitely can't lie to my face.
She has her fears. She's scared of being alone. She can't handle lingering entities, of which includes ghosts. She hates spiders and is willing to burn down the whole unit if she finds one, which fortunately never appears.
"SeokJinnie ... I'm scared."
I accepted her as my housewife, knowing that she fears vampires the most. She knows they don't co-exist right now. She knows vampires are a myth and that some crazy author decided to spurn up a love triangle, fictional story between a human, werewolf and a vampire.
She doesn't know anything about my true being.
She only sees me as her loyal husband and a dependable friend. MinYoung is content as a housewife and as a network administrator. She spends most of her work at home instead of commuting to her office. She gets her tasks done and spends more time at the unit.
The journey from our first encounter to the current life is a long story. Like I said, there were some people that had to be sacrificed for the sake of where I am right now.
Perhaps, I do have time to narrate it all.
After healing the bite on MinYoung's nape, I went ahead to heat up the omelet rice. My blood bank spends so much time with meticulousness and quality. She will recover in a few minutes or so. I don't care about the hissing feline's whereabouts. It's probably out at the balcony.
My wife always looks enthusiastic whilst eating our meals together. She feeds me more often than I could feed myself.
When the microwave stops spinning, I seat myself in the living room and let my attention focus onto the weather outside. Today is a weekend. My housewife is free today, but she prefers to stay indoors. Window-shopping is all she does. She's not interested in dresses or any of the likes. It fazes me how different MinYoung is compared to other people.
