. . .
"What the hell is going on?"
A group huddles around. The stench is unbearable and ever since the treaty has been signed, this is the first body of our kind found dead in the front entrance. I had a feeling that something would happen, but not this early.
Yoongi eagerly shoves past the large group and kneels down to the deceased body. He growls in contempt and ushers for everyone to return to their posts. I haven't seen him this angry before. He is always the silent and soft type and to see him pissed is unimaginable.
Half of the group retreats in hushed whispers, confusion and fear. A few others remain to comment their theories in regards to the murder.
The body belongs to a woman. She's a Mother of two independent children and is often seen assisting others with their training. She's one of the best known trainer and is an exception in Father's eyes. I'm surprised that he isn't here to witness one of his best candidate die right in front of the gate.
He's away on a visit to the our 'trusted' empire. His plan is to bond more with the people there. Even though that was supposed to be my job, I'm glad that I can stay here instead of torturing myself there.
I can't do anything much as the newly presented King. All I have to do is to show my face around and warn anyone not to mess with me. That doesn't sound fun at all, but that is all that I can do for now.
Yoongi instructs a few of the watchers to bring the woman's body inside. There aren't any strange odors lingering around her body. The perpetrator behind this occurrence must be a professional if he or she is able to get away with this crime undetected.
Even I myself cannot come up with a plausible scenario to reach to this woman's fate.
"Be careful with her body and do not get anything tainted on her body. We don't want to assume the criminal to be one of our kind." Yoongi demands and the others comply to his wishes.
As her body is safely lifted off from the soiled ground, her blood remains damp yet soon to be dry. I crouch down towards the pool of drying blood and examine closely. The crime happened not too long ago since the liquid remains slightly damp.
"Must be one of them." Yoongi surmises and I want to agree with him.
Yet my instincts do not want to accept his mere judgement. There must be a thorough examination and despite being crowned the new King, I do not know where to begin. I feel like a child forced to grow up so fast, yet is clueless on how to function as an adult.
Short heavy pants tore me away from staring at the blood. Jungkook runs toward us as if someone is chasing him. Observing the crime scene will not lead me to anywhere if I can't think or visualize anything properly.
We both stand up from kneeling and Jungkook holds up his palm before Yoongi could say anything.
"B-Brother NamJoon ... is waiting for you at the Gardenia Forest." He exhales without looking away from me.
Jungkook leans against Yoongi, yet retreats once he notices the blood of the familiar trainer.
I'm already on my way the moment NamJoon was mentioned. I'm curious as to what could be so important to the point where he sent Jungkook to send me.
I wish I could teleport to where he is right now, but no one will tell me how. They are afraid that I may escape once more just to return back to MinYoung. Nothing is ever that easy no matter how much one begs it to be.
I found him leaning against a huge tree trunk scattered with autumn leaves around. Some are dead brown and lively with orange and yellow hues. Others are decomposing ever so slowly. He doesn't notice my presence until I call his name.
