. . .
As expected, both Jimin and Jungkook aren't present in the family chamber. Even after the short talk with Taehyung's Mother, my words must've created conflict between the two.
I was pissed at Jimin for telling me parts of the whole ordeal. If they had told me everything about the situation, I would obligate to their plans as long as they don't harm MinYoung. I made the choice to settle matters here in case they come to the human world and start annihilating everyone they see.
What surprises me even more after all these months of living with MinYoung is how much I actually desired to fill myself with her. Not in the sexual aspect of wanting to be filled of a human body. It was just her blood that my real self has been craving for.
A human's blood is akin to the aftermath of drinking alcohol. Some humans have different tolerances to the drink. Others may pass out easily, whilst some have no control over their desires.
I wonder why humans tend to fix their issues by drinking. It would do anything to solve the problem. It's just one method of distracting their reality away from them.
The sight of her blood on the walls terrify me if that part of the future ever occurs.
I can't fully comprehend how I was able to hold myself back and not see through the clear layers of bloodlust. I have no intentions of changing MinYoung as one of our kind, even if she seems reliant in giving up her human life. That may never happen, regardless of her fear of the said mythical vampires.
"Why are you afraid of vampires, even though they don't coexist right now?"
"I've injured myself countless times. It's painful to physically feel and see the pain. With how vampires are described, I imagined the agony to be ten times agonizing. It's strange for humans to be enticed when two pairs of blistering fangs sink on their nape. I recall crying so much when I scraped my knee. I can't imagine how it really feels to have my blood drained. I'm still afraid of going to the hospital, just like last time when they took my blood. I can't get over the fear of sharp needles."
"Are you sure you're not just clumsy?"
I do have some memories of MinYoung hurting herself. She does it unconsciously. Sometimes, she doesn't know where the cut came from. There are several bandage boxes stashed neatly in one of her medical kits.
To be afraid of something that hasn't been fully proved is one of the reason why I stayed with MinYoung. She has her worries and I have mines.
Father occupies the only throne in the family chamber. His wives obediently stand beside him, two on both sides. His sons, excluding Jimin and Jungkook kneel down in front of Father. It isn't necessary for all his sons to be present.
Father's escort, in the form of a hawk stands beside him. I must be wary of myself.
My presence is the only reason why things went haywire in the first place.
I kneel down in front of my younger brothers alone and draw my attention to the guests. They also kneel down as a sign of respect.
Unfamiliar presences make themselves known. They have masks that are commonly used in masquerade balls. There are a total of four people, two male and two female. One woman in detailed masks compared to the other blank ones kneel a few inches in front of me. She's wearing a black robe, which doesn't reveal much about her frame.
I assume this must be the said girl to be my new bride as a sign of unity.
There must be a way out of this.
