"So why am I here?" Seishin asked as he shifted in his seat uncomfortably.
"I want to know more about your childhood." The Author said as they looked at their papers.
"What do you want to know?" Seishin asked, he looked at the door with impatience.
"Just start from the beginning." The Author said as they looked at the clock.
"What exactly do you want to know?" Seishin said, he leaned back in the uncomfortable seat.
The author looked at a book, "First, I would like to know about your childhood. Then I would want to ask you why do you think your sister Cassiel went Evil." The Author read, they looked up at Seishin, the Author pushed up their glasses on their nose.
Seishin let out a loud sigh, "Uhhhhhh Well, when I was born, I was born into a wealthy family. My father's father after all, created light and darkness. When my grandfather left us my father took over as the ruler over the light and the dark, my mother, Eleanor was his... Let's say light side. They balance each other out good but sometimes..." Seishin paused, he was looking at the floor, he tensed up.
"He tended to lash out. The yelling, it never stopped, he just wouldn't stop." Seishin said with a cold voice, he didn't look up at the Author.
"One day, something happened to my dad, he.." Seishin paused, he held back tears, his voice quivered. "Lost something. Like a part of his soul went missing, he snapped. Some say he went insane, he killed so many souls, my mother tried to calm him down, but it didn't work. so one night, as the kingdoms were sleeping, we escaped. Though I'm not proud of it to this day I still want to believe that it was the best, my father was taking medicine to keep his temper in check, my mother was so blind with love she never had the guts to leave him.
When I was younger my father used to come home drunk, I watched as he beat my sister. She was always the target for him. But I did nothing." Seishin stopped. "I was too scared." Seishin said as he clenched his fist.
"Please, continue." The Author said, the Author was sitting up straight, they were watching him.
"Maybe that's why he did it.. Anyways uh.. My father overtime become better, at least that's what my mother told me. Soon he really did started to get better. That's what I want to believe, but... Like all good things they must come to an end. My father one day was happy and everyone was happy. We were all trying to be happy. but then the next day I woke to screaming.
Blood was everywhere. Something was lurking in the room, something was watching us. I remember looking into its eyes, they were black. Like it had no soul. as soon as I looked away it was gone.
When I was younger my parents told me about a story, when you try to be something you're not something bad happens. I don't know if that was it but something bad happened to them. Something terrifying.
My parents and everyone, except for my younger siblings and I were dead. We were the last ones alive in the universe, the thing killed everyone. So we decided to create different types of species, we left them to be and now were here.
The only evidence of this time change I have is this book, it has a strange bloody handprint on it, I found it over my parents bodies. Well... what's left of them.Do I still believe that they are souls still older than me? ... I don't know. But sometimes I wonder, who made the portals? Who created the planets, it is very possible that someone is out there, more powerful than me." Seishin stopped to take a breath.
"Can I see the book?" The author asked.
"Yeah.." Seishin stood up and walked away, then he opened a box.
He came back with a black book.
He handed the book to the Author.
"None of my siblings or I can read it, it's an ancient text that my parents haven't taught us." Seishin said, he sat down.
"Please tell me about your sister while I look at this book." The Author replied as they touched the edge of the old paper.
"Well, like I said before, we choose to either be on the good side or the bad side. There is no in between, lightness or darkness. I guess Cassiel choose the darkness-.." He was interrupted by the author, "Wait." The other said with concern in their voice.
"What is it?" Seishin asked.
"Something's not adding up..." The author said, they stood up and quickly walked over to Seishin, they showed him the book.
"There's a torn out piece of paper here." The author said, they sat down next to Seishin.
"That's weird... I could've sworn there were no missing pages." Seishin said as he touched the missing page.
"Don't touch it idiot!" The Arthur warned.
"Why not?" Seishin asked, he looked over at the author with a suspicious look.
"The last page, it says something about bringing back what's lost and touching the page. I wouldn't touch it if our you, unless... You want to be dead." the Author had a strange look in their eyes, like they seen this page before.
"Alright, so how do we find this missing page?" Seishin asked, he looked at the door, then back at the Author.
The author stood up, " I must leave, I'm sure you'll figure it out." The Author said as they hurried to the door.
"W-Wait." Seishin raise his voice as he stumbled stand up.
He ran to the door but the Author was gone.
"That author is weird..." Seishin said, he looked back at the book, something was off about that book. Something dark.
