It had been a few days since Happy was arrested and still the information Katie learned that day hadn't finished slowly sinking into her mind. Expecting the knock on her door, Katie answered it quickly with a heatitant smile on her face.

"Hey Tara," she said politely. "Thank you for coming."

"Sure," she said curtly as she stepped inside the house. "They're morons, aren't they?"

"Yup," Katie huffed. "As usual we have to clean up their damn messes."

Tara nodded in agreement. "You look good."

"Thanks," Katie smiled. "Look, about the whole-"

"Brothel on Main?"

"Uhh, well, yeah," Katie shrugged. "I'm sorry I lied. I'm sorry I could have gotten Jax hurt or locked up or something. I started it to keep the money coming in while looking legit for the judge."

Tara inhaled slowly, "I'm sorry too. I was awful to you, I'm not saying I'm a fan of what you did but I didn't give you many options."

"Thank you for saying that," Katie felt such unexpected relief. "We should get moving on this," she gestured to the dining room table. "I dropped charges and Alec said he'd work on getting Jax out but he didn't even know Jax had been arrested until I called him so it may not be that easy."

"I could kill him myself," Tara growled. "He's letting his hate for Clay ruin everything."

"They're so blind," Katie grumbled. "How do you feel about murder? Like full on murder?"

"Me? Me murdering someone?" Tara asked reluctantly. "I don't... I don't think I can do that."

"I don't either," Katie admitted. "I know he's awful but I just don't think I could go through with it. I still think about-"

"It's okay, you don't have to say it," Tara said supportively. "So, we're good?"

"Let's get this shit squashed then we can be good," Katie laughed. "We're cool though."

They hugged, both women feeling their eyes fill with tears, then turned back to the job at hand.

*A Few Hours Later - Across Town*

"You have nothing?" The Agent growled at Jake, hidden in the far end of an alley, during their daily meets. "What did we keep you outta jail for?"

"It takes time," Jacob snapped back. "They're not just gonna tell me everything, I gotta gain their trust."

"How can we speed that along?"

Jacob shrugged. "I don't know. Probably can't without a risk."

"Risk of what?" The Agent asked, willing to push it as far as he could.

"Injury, breaking the law," Jacob said with a huff. "The shit were not supposed to risk."

"Do what you have to do, Feldstein," The Agent ordered. "I need something."

"Or what?"

"Or we'll lock you back up," he smirked. "That light a fire under your ass?"

"No," he laughed, "You can't do that. Deal was signed, asshole. You'll wait as long as you have to."

Jacob turned and headed out of the alley knowing the agent wouldn't follow for fear of being seen together. Once he was a few blocks away he called Katie who was, as they planned, having dinner with Tara.

"Ladies," he said as he slid into the booth.

"Jacob," Tara said cordially. "How'd it go?"

"He's pissed, even tried to threaten to lock me up," he laughed. "Desperate feds are dangerous."
