He's one thousand miles away, but I can't stop thinking about him. His beauty enraptures me. I can't look at him without longing to hold him in my arms. What is my Yao doing right now? Is he somewhere hurting? Or is someone loving him? Telling him it will all be alright?
It stings, thinking about him in some else's embrace. It hurts to think about it. Perhaps they could give him the love that he wants. The love I cannot provide. Though it hurts, I want him to be happy. If he desires someone elsewhere, I will not stop him. It will hurt to see him with someone else, most definitely. I would wish that he was smiling in my arms. That it was I kissing his soft lips. Instead I would just have to watch from afar with a shattering heart. I must stay strong for him. I wouldn't want him to feel guilty. All I wish for is his happiness. If he is happy, I will gladly stand by...
I should stop before my tears soak up the page...Ivan sets his pen down, moving the paper from where his tears are falling.
He would see Yao at the meeting tomorrow.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Taking a seat in the conference room, Ivan keeps an innocent smile on his face.
"Hey, Ivan, why weren't you on the chat yesterday?"
The stupid American's voice made Ivan flinch. "America, it isn't proper to call a nation by their name in a confer-"
"Bro, the conference hasn't started, so it's a-okay!" The blonde sits on the table next to Ivan.
"Then, Alfred, I will answer your question. I was busy."
"Busy with what?"
Nosy much?
'I was Kim Kardashian ugly crying' was what Ivan felt like saying, but then again, he had only heard about Kim Kardashian.
With the same smile, Ivan looks at Alfred. "Nothing importa-"
"Oh! Did you hear!?"
What was with this stupid American and interrupting him?
"Hear what, svin'ya?"
"...I don't know what that means but aNYWAY."
Alfred leans closer to Ivan. "Yao has found a nation." He says in a hushed voice.
"A new nation?"
"No, dumbass commie." He rolls his eyes. "A partner!"
Ivan's heart slowly shatters, staring wide eyed at Alfred. "What do you mean...?"
"Like, he's dating someone."
There it was. The words Ivan wished to never hear. Tears threatened to prick at his eyes. "Who? Might I ask."
"Huh? You wanna know? Romania."
The Romanian? Yao had nothing in common with that crazy red head. Or was he a brunette? That didn't stop the hatred Ivan was feeling for him at the moment.
He vowed to be supportive of whoever Yao chose as a partner but Romania? Yao, what are you doing with your life?
"Vanya!"
There was that beautiful voice. Ivan turned, seeing Yao Wang with a huge smile on his porcelain face.
Pretending to be happy, Ivan smiles. "You seem to be in a good mood, Yao-Yao."
"Of course, aru!" He wraps his arms around Ivan. "Romania found a support group for victims."
So he's not taken.
Ivan glares at Alfred, sending shivers up the American's spine.
"Heh, looks like I was wrong, sorry bro."
