Dedicated to werewolfgirl2 for my first ever vote on "Untangling Aella" :)

I followed behind the Queen towards, what I was assuming would be her office.
I so did not want to recycle oxygen in the same room with her.
We entered a white marbled room with equally clinical decorations. She sat behind the large white desk while I took the chair opposite her.
"Aella" she said in greeting. If you could call it that.
"Which would you prefer? Hippolyte, Amazon or Queen?" I said coolly. Prickly and snarky Aella was coming to the floor.
"Hippolyte would do nicely" she replied unfazed. It kind of made me want to scoff. Two can play that game.
"Sure, Mother. Hippolyte it is."
"As an Amazon who has come of age, you should be aware that our birth bind is severed. Henceforth, I will be your sister, queen, warrior, fellow Amazon. The mother you have known me as is no longer. "
"Not that she was ever there to begin with. It's kind of hard to be attached to someone who was never there."
"Please" she scoffed. "Save your anger and resentment for the infernal Greeks. You are a mature adult now. All this built up resentment needs to be shoved aside. Move on from your pettiness and animosity and come to terms with the fact that I care little for your snide remarks. Grow up."
Gee, her perspective, which greatly reflects the conscience I never listen to, kind of made this abrupt argument so mediocre. I was kind of expecting more anger, yelling and below the belt comments. But cold hard truth seemed to have snap me out of years of built up anger.
I could only sit in silent defeat. What else could I say to someone on a more moral high ground with a better leg to stand on.
"Well, now that we have been reacquainted could you tell me what I'm doing here? Clearly a mother/daughter reunion seems to be the furtherest from the truth of the matter and I don't know how else my presence could be relevant here."
"Your presence here is vital for two reasons. We needed all Amazonians to return to prepare for the return of the girdle. Secondly, you will be instrumental to the defeat of the Greeks."
"How would that be?"
"First, we will begin with your training. Then we will outline your role in the plot. For now you must be acquainted with your division. You are dismissed."
I exited her office. Dammit I feel like I needed to say more to her, to get more riled up at her. Now I have to contend with telling it to my conscience and gain satisfaction from what I could've said.
Suddenly, I realised I didn't know where I was going.
Flagging down a random Amazon, she was able to point me in the direction I needed, I was well on my way to the Delta Division.
I showed up at the equally impressive Delta division quarters. The glass sign 2 metres tall with a frost delta symbol confirmed that I was at the correct destination. Screened by timber and hedges, I entered my new home for the time being.
Amazons my age and slightly older were seated around the common area. It felt like I had interrupted a gossip session and I was at the centre. I didn't cower, I instead took them in. It felt like I was back stage at a Victoria's Secret runway. All tall with golden skin like mine but with varying shades of hair colour and styles. White must be the go around here with fashion as a myriad of plain, elegant, crisp White was worn by all.
