Hello Super Mega, Awesome Readers!!!!!
This has been a full on first term back at high school with only 3 days to go before the school holidays! (Woop woop!)
I felt so reaffirmed with what I was doing after reading Twinkle_Gogri's comment on my last update. It really warms me when readers love and enjoy my story. My heart is in every chapter and I am overjoyed that it is reciprocated :)
So enough with the emotional stuff! Here is the update!

Chapter Twenty Two
We had pulled up to a large set of high gates set against brick which opened up after a couple of seconds. The car drove through it and realised it was in fact a compound that seemed to be a village that had houses in it. It was practically its own suburb.
We were headed for the biggest one of the lot. It had Corinthian columns too and was a stark white which stood out against the green and rocky terrain that encompassed the compound. The card stopped outside the house
I had to mentally prepare myself for this. I felt giddy but I had no reason why. I took in a couple of deep breaths to steady my thumping heart.
“Come on,” Aegeus said, pulling me gently towards the house.
“Yeah Sis, this is one surprise you’re going to love,” Ari said, a wide grin on his face as he walked around the car to open my door.
I heard a voice call out and the sound of footsteps grew louder.
“Calliope!” Aegeus called as a woman filled the doorway to greet us.
I instinctively knew her. I was fascinated by her and she seemed mid 40s and graceful in her age.
She ran to Aegeus and embraced him and gently kissed him on the lips.
While it didn’t phase me, Ari beside me began to dry heave. How immature. It wasn’t a full on PDA but a love filled, I-havent-seen-you-in-forever kind of kiss.
They broke apart and began to stare deeply into each other’s eyes smiling at each other.
Aegeus whispered something to her and her eyes widened and sought mine immediately.
“Aella, meet your grandmother and my beautiful wife Calliope,” Aegeus told me, releasing his wife from his arms.
She had a long black mane that stopped just below her waist. Her bright blue eyes were rimmed with crow’s feet that seemed to complement her olive face as a smiled widely at me. Warmth radiated off her as she opened her arms to me.
I ran to her and reciprocated her gesture.
“My gorgeous, beautiful girl” she said into my hair. I inhaled her scent; decadent with springs riches flowers. I could feel tears leak out her eyes onto my cheeks as she too breathed in deeply.
After some time we broke apart and wiped our eyes.
“Let me look at you!” she said, laughing through her happy tears. She took in my every feature and with her soft hands, gently caressed my cheek. “My god, you’re the image of your father. You have his eyes; his smile; his height…”
“What doesn’t she have of his?” joked Ari, laughing.
“Shut it, Ari!” I said through a clenched smile, viciously swatting my hand at him.
“Don’t you two start it again,” said Aegeus, sounding exasperated.
“Sorry!” we both said, lowering our heads.
