I never thought I would be standing outside this house and entering no longer as Chase’s girlfriend but his current ex. But I had to fight for him and for us. I held my stomach and prayed that I had enough strength to face the Cole clan and come out unscathed.
I walked up to the door but as I was about to knock, the door flew open. There stood one of Cole’s brothers, Carter I think.
“You have some nerve showing up here.” He said, with a curl in his lip as he spat that out at me. Boy, this wasn’t going to be easy.
“I need to speak to him,” I said, trying to be calm. Knowing that the first trimester is usually the most difficult for a woman.
“Too bad,” he said with anger still on his face “He never wants to see you ever again.”
“I need to explain! He has to know that this baby is his!!”
“Well I can see why he was so pissed and so broken. B****, you broke his heart!”
“B****?!? Oh, hell no! No one gets to call me that and get away with it.” Before I could even process anything, I flew into him hoping to knock him down somehow. Knowing that, despite my height, I was still puny to this wall of rock and muscle.
But as soon as I thought it he flew into the house ... on his ass. If I wasn’t so shocked I would’ve been laughing my butt off.
He was just as shocked too. Lying there speechless on the ground with his mouth hanging open, I seized the opportunity to go searching for Chase. In this huge, log style cabin house I didn’t know where to look. I took off down a hallway on the right with many doors. I started knocking, yelling and opening doors.
“Chase!” I opened a door to one of his brother’s rooms and saw a shocked boy in his boxers. “Whoops!” before slamming the door closed.
I went through half a dozen rooms before finding the right one.
Somehow I sensed this was his room, a funny feeling in me knew so.
I opened the door and “Chase-!”
There he was.
Naked.
On his bed.
With an equally naked blonde female.
I wanted to tear his eyes out, hers too and I wanted to shove it down his throat!
“Ella?” he asked in confusion, still dreamy like. The girl next to him had a smirk on her face, infuriating me more.
“Bastard!” I yelled, throwing the nearest object I could find, a book, at his head. The book crashed through the wall! It landed outside, shedding sunlight into the room and showing me that I threw it through the wall.
“I think you better go Vanessa,” he said groggily, after recovering from the shock of the airborne book. Pfft. Because we wouldn’t want Bimbo Blondie to be caught in the crossfire. I growled.
“How could you?!?!” I screamed at him as he helped her gather her things and safely saw her out before turning back to me. I felt fire burning in my veins and an unexplained burst of strength and energy vibrating throughout my body.
“What!” he screamed at me “We are no longer together!”
I stormed at him and threw him back onto the bed. Then I launched on him and pounded the living day lights out of him.
“Damn you!” punch! “Abso-!” slap “lute-!” kick “Ass-!” scratch “hole!”
Despite the smashes I had inflicted onto him, he managed to manoeuvre me onto my back and restrain my arms.
