Chapter 17: The sins of a mother and Atonement

After defeating Sairaorg a week ago, everyone decided to stay at leefside a little more. While staying in leefside, issei couldn't help but think about what Venelana did to Rias's Sister-in-law, so during one night, Issei snuck out and left a note telling everyone where he went, Dezel went with issei just in case something bad happened. After arriving at Duparis Prison, issei asked the guard to lead him and dezel to Venelana. The guard agrees to show them where she is and leads them to her. After arriving the guard left them alone.

"Hello, Venelana." Dezel greet coldly

"Dezel." Venelana greeted coldly

"Calm down." Issei told Dezel

"Hmph." Went dezel aggressively

"Why are you here? To Spite me?" Venelana questioned

"I want answers to my questions. I have a lot on my chest i want to get off." Issei answered

"Fine. I'm listening." Venelana said

"What did you think when you showed rias how you purge people with malevolence? Did you even care how she felt?" Issei asked

"No, i didn't. All i cared about was purging the town of malevolence." Venelana answered

"What did you think when you did that in the past?" Issei asked

"I was horrified. It made me realize what i was doing was murdering innocent lives. It was their fault that they generated the malevolence sure but, they didn't deserve to die... i never regretted it until i saw the past with the Iris gem." Venelana answered with regret.

"Alright. What about Grayfia? Did you regret killing her?" Issei questioned

"Not until now. To be honest, the people that i've killed have been haunting me in my dreams. Even Grayfia." Venelana  answered with regret

"I see." Issei said

"Is that all?" Venelana asked

"Yeah, it is. Come on Dezel, we're leaving." Issei answered and told

"It's about time. looking at her is making me sick." Dezel said with eagerness.

RUMBLING!

"Whoa... earthquake?" Issei wondered

"Earthquake? No. Something big is making this." Dezel said

CRASH! MONSTROUS ROAR!

"What... is... that?" Issei wondered in awe

"That my friend is a minotaur. Sure brings back memories." Dezel answered while remembering part of his past

The minotaur sees Issei and charges at him. Once it charged, Issei armoured up and grabbed it by the horns, stopping it

"Dezel!" Issei yelled while struggling to keep the minotaur in one spot

"It's about time! You're through! Brutality drive!" Dezel said while using his attack on minotaur

When Dezel hit the Minotaur with  his pendulums, it seemed to have no effect,

"What?" Dezel questioned confused

"Let me out! I can help!" Venelana pleaded

"No! You're staying in that cell!" Issei denied while struggling

"Take this! Vengeful fangs!" Dezel said while casting an Arte

Dezel conjures an illusion of green fangs that close, creating a line of white energy on impact with itself. It hit the minotaur but seems to have cause no damage.
